I've had two bad experiences trying to drop off pre-paid packages here. I simply asked for a receipt showing that they received it. The lady that works the counter is so rude. She snapped at me that they haven't given a receipt in 13 years and no one gives receipts and I should go somewhere else. She is completely wrong. Everywhere else kindly gives you a receipt. I went right down the street to Walgreens and they even gave me a receipt. I would avoid this place at all costs. You can use UPS

Today I arrived at the store for an appointment for my wife. . The sign says the store opens at 9:00. We arrived at 9:05 and it was not opened so My wife knocked on the door only to be yelled at to wait. When the door finally opened at 9:10, She was rudely told that when you own a business you can open anytime you wish. When my I stepped in and said to let them know I didn't appreciate the way he spoke to my wife, the wife of the owner told me that they had an emergency with their dog and that she hoped someone I know dies. Then they told me that my wife's appointment was cancelled

I would leave 0 stars if I could. Why would they leave their big dog in the middle of the aisle of the store?! Not everyone likes dogs. When I called to ask them to move the dog they told me to go to another store. Like what?!? Where’s the customer service??? No wonder they have such low ratings. I’m surprised they survived the pandemic and are still open. Don’t go here unless you like dogs.

The store owner Michelle, once you get to know her, is a very sweet person who cares a lot about what she does. I have received countless positive reviews on eBay for the way she packs the boxes up and selects the sizing. I ship a lot of oddly shaped collectibles so having access to all the different sizes of boxes is very cool. She even has a tool to cut the box down to the perfect size - I've never seen anyone do that but her. Thank you so much for helping me make my items look great!

Had to stop by to get some forms done for my employment. The lady at the counter was very friendly; however, she would chat with every single customer for a long time. Four to five other customers came after me for shipping and even though I had an appointment, she made me wait for 20-25 minutes so that she could help everyone else who came after me. They also have a dog inside the store and he barked the entire time. The lady didn’t do anything about it and continued to chat with her customers.

Since we live just a few feet away, we use this store to send packages for convenience. Turns out we have to stop using their service and go to the USPS post office directly, The lady (probably the owner's wife) is always very rude. I just went there to ship something to Chicago, and she tried to sell me $18 UPS/FEDEX priority mail, despite me saying that package needs to reach in 10 days and not very urgent.
She made use of COVID-19 situation and falsely mentioned that it takes more than 2 weeks for packages to reach, even from Naperville to Chicago (just 45 min drive), since most of Post office

The Boxes is an independently owned shipping center. I recently had to ship a very large electronic item that I bought online back to sender because it was defective. Husband and wife team Greg and Michele were extremely friendly and helpful. They run a great small business. The store is welcoming and charming and there is a resident rescue dog named Sookie. They also have a nice array of gift items and cards. It's really nice to be able to buy a small gift or card in a shipping store. They have pretty much every size of box you can imagine. We have a commercial Box, there for close to 10-years... before Michelle moved to this new store-front. Although we travel international quite a bit... lately the few times arriving to pick-up are meet with awful vibes.
To mention how this service that was once very professional, but has transformed completely over the last 6-months 2018. It's become a dreadful thought having to enter this place to pick-up mail.

My family and I have been going to The Boxes for years. Other places may be cheaper but the convenience of this location works best for us. Plus, we love coming in to see that sweet dog and have honestly never had a bad experience here (yes, sometimes there can be a bit of a wait but that can happen anywhere). I've read some of the other reviews about the owners attitude--she, or any of the employees there for that matter, have never been rude to me. I can understand maybe her tone can be taken in the wrong way but I've never felt that it was directed towards me.

I went in for a notary, that they advertise. She lady who is in charge rudely said "I'm to busy" to busy what? Doing her job? She should not advertise being a notary and then rudely tell paying customers she is to busy. Frankly that is bad business. FedEx, UPS and USPS are not are down the street, save yourself a headache and go straight there.

The woman here is needlessly unfriendly. Every time I've tried to drop something off here she seems to go out of her way to be unpleasant. Today she tried to charge me $.50 for a receipt for the Federal Express package I was dropping off. It's my own fault for ever coming back here. It won't happen again.

I've been here a few times and have never had a good experience. The lady who runs the place is one of the most difficult, unnerving, and unfriendly people I've ever met in a customer service environment. Her husband clearly works for her because once she says something crass - and she usually does - he just keeps his mouth shut. She's ripped open a package of mine out of refusal to mail said package for me, she's yelled at me, and her attitude is just downright disgusting. Only you try things on in a dressing room and hang the unwanted clothing on a rack or hand it to a sales person.
