What began in 1945 in one small building on the Back River of the Chesapeak Bay, the dream of Samuel J. Weaver, Senior, has evolved into a first class, full service marine facility with floating piers and over 115 slips. Over the years Weaver's has endured fish kills, algae, mosquitoes, raw sewage, trash, tires and constant silt filling the river.
Weaver's Marine Service, family owned and operated for over 67 years, has earned an outstanding reputation around the Chesapeake Bay for restoration, repair and repowering of boats of all types. We are proudly known as "The Chesapeake Bay's Air Conditioning and Shore Power Headquarters". With over 500 years of combined experience, our craftsmen are expertly trained in all aspects of boat care from mechanical to hull.
We recently invested 1.5 million dollars to renovate and make our Marina a first class facility, including the installation of our wave attenuator. Rocking and rolling of boats in a marina slip is always a concern, often causing damage to people, boats and docks. The best solution for this common problem is the floating wave attenuator, which stops a wave without the addition of a breakwall.
It has been and continues to be a big job, but we are definitely seeing an improvement. We have noticed the return of wildlife to our area and even have a photo of a Bald Eagle on our pier. We had 3 boats worked on by weavers marine and spent a lot of money but if we had 3 more boats we wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. These are the best people that have worked on our boats with in the past 30 years and the quality was outstanding! Earlier this year I had the transom replaced on a 268 SeaRay at Weavers Marine. Jeff and the staff made me feel at home there. Jeff did a great job keeping me up to date with pictures as they were doing the work. Sam helped me when I needed a hand picking up the boat. I waited to give a review until the end of the season to make sure everything held up. The boat ran good all season and looks good after it was pulled.
