The typical minimum credit score needed for a conventional loan is 680 but a credit score of 740 or above will help you achieve an elite interest rate.

I am disappointed in the new 30 yr mortgage secured by Freddy Kling of Simplicity Mortgage . He placed my mortgage with United Mortgage Co of NJ whose closing costs-based on a $138K mortgage were high-I would be a little happier if Simplicity had gotten me better than 2.87% rate for more than the $6,895 out of pocket fees with $40K down.The broker got his $3000 from the company. Shop around -I gave up my Ameri Save #1 committment on a good faith meeting with Freddy. Reliable company- lots of phone and email messages. I wish they had more clout against the big lenders.
