Demares Jewelers was established in Vallejo, 50 years ago. In 1962, Bill Mares decided to open his own business. His father, Jim, suggested naming the business like the DeBeers Diamond Mines. Named after his sister Myra Dee and daughter Dee Suzanne, in combination with his family surname, the business was named DeMares Jewelers.

Great family-owned local jeweler. I had a broken bracelet and they were so quick with turnaround time and the soldering job they did was impeccable! Flawless repair! Very reasonable pricing for repairs, will definitely be back if I have any future repair needs. They have beautiful jewelry and watches too! Definitely recommend. Bonus: awesome Bay Area sports memorabilia on the walls there!

Terrible customer service. I've been going her for years to have all my jewelry repairs done and watch batteries.
Always dealing with the gentlemen or daughter always been lucky I guess not to get the miserable lady who's always there, very rude and judgmental on appearance, I get the feeling that is just her, never polite unless your older and she knows you have money, witnessed it, felt it in way she treated me, I felt the negative vibes.
I'll never ever be back and it's unfortunate like I said been going there since the 90's. Never treated as I was other day!

I understand that business get busy and prioritize customers and sales that come in. But I've been going back and forth with the owners about a chain that was broke after I purchased it and offered me store credit which was great but I always needed to come to the store and remind them about it. In my experience they lack on communication and providing service to their customers. I'm just upset that I'm not getting what I've been asking for. I usually don't write reviews but they should not offer store credit if they are not going to prioritize it.

I purchased a pair of earrings and necklace for my wife. When she lost a back to one of her earrings, she returned to see if they could assist her. The lady said we don't have any in stock, but gave her a date to come back. My wife's the type where, don't give her a time to come back, because she will. There was loyalty, because I purchased from them. On my wife's day off, she returned and it didn't even appear they remembered her or her request. She got back in the car and hasn't mentioned them again

Stopped in for a minor watch repair which was done for free, to my surprise. Other places may not have been so nice, and granted a five star review based on such a small random sampling of the services is far from comprehensive, but sometimes it's the small things that make the difference with whom you decide to do business.

My wife has been using Bill for several years and I went with her a few weeks ago. Talking with Bill is a hoot. His sports memorabilia is amazing.
I brought in a rare watch and he knew when and where it was made, he shared a wealth of knowing out our watch. Customer service is amazing. I bought something for my wife that is beautiful and fairly priced. Turns out Bill and I know a lot of the same people. Great jeweler, I highly recommend.

Giving it one star just because this doesn't allow me to give DeMares Jewelers a minus five review.
Horrible, pathetic, bad customer service from the owner and two other women who work there. I brought some necklaces that required new clasps. It took 3 trips to the store plus the last pick up trip in order to finally have the clasps set properly. Do not bring your jewelry for repair here, they don't seem to know what they are doing, or they don't have quality control - certainly no common sense as how clasps need to be set in order to work properly. This is not rocket science

Very unprofessional and a deliberate waste of my time. Came in one night asking for a watch resize and the guy said to come back tomorrow so the lady can resize the watch. I come in the the next day as soon as they opened and now he says they won't be able to do it until a few weeks out. He could have told me that when i came in the first night. Instead, he told me to come back the next day, so I woke up early, and then he decided oh we actually can't do it. WASTE OF TIME

Came here on a referral from one of my coworkers. Brought my wedding ring in because one of the prongs on the diamond was pried off. They were able to fix it right on the spot and noticed that another one of the prongs was twisted around also and fixed that too. Cleaned my ring and handed it back all shiny and looking brand new. In and out of there in 10 min and for $10. I may come back for some custom work I have been wanting to re-set. Thanks for the great work Demares!

I went here to get my battery changed on my watch. I thought it was gonna take 5 minutes at least. The guy that was working on it was like forcing something and that made the dial out of alignment. So they put the watch back together and gave it to me just like that to come back at a latter date and have it repositioned. They didn't even offer a loaner. I was out without a watch for almost a month. So when I came back to have it repositioned, it took another 5 days to have it fixed which I was told it would take a day to have it fixed.
So I guess I won't be coming here for repairs
