Deb and I have owned and operated bagel bakeries, delis and a burger restaurant, all in the Edison and Woodbridge areas since the mid-1980's. We knew we had a unique opportunity in this family oriented community and immediately felt right at home.
We created a children's writing contest that rewards the kids for their creative writing skills called Junior Journalist Program, joined the business association, and became a member of the South Plainfield Education Foundation.We've also served as judges for the annual Labor Day parade and have entered a float in the parade two times representing the Junior Journalist winners (and won a trophy for the float as well)!

Just ordered a “burger”and I’m not happy. If you are looking for a real Burger, this is not your place. They advertise their burgers as NOT fast food burger. Burger King advertises all beef patty, And that’s what I got from this place, a beef patty. Which I’m assuming was ALL beef. They called it a California burger but it was more like a French burger with all the Mayo they use. California burgers have avocado in it. They use a brioche bun which they do not toast and all brioche buns should be toasted. Second the fries…. Oh the fries. Not cooked all the way. It seems like they blanch

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! everything is made fresh, the burgers are better then what youd get at a fast food place and the breakfast menu is all amazing no matter what you get 😍 you honestly cant go wrong with anything to choose. If I could I'd eat here everyday! I've recommended this hotspot to all my family and friends and we all agreed this is the spot to eat! 🤤

I really like this place. Why? Because every time I eat here, the food is of good quality and the prices are fair. If you have a special order they aim to please ! Many people work here because of the great… variety of delicious sandwiches and hot meals. Many people still come here during this virus pandemic. They simply make a phone call and pick up is fast and easy. Since I am an essential worker it is a gift to have this place to order lunch

Picked up a catering order for my daughter’s sixth birthday. Food was fresh, delicious, and everything was ready on time. Staff was very friendly and very accommodating to our specific dietary needs. Highly recommend this deli to anyone looking to have solid food at a reasonable price. We will be using hometown heroes again in the future for our catering needs. Great job guys!

The delivery driver CARL. Is soooooo rude, he came to a place of business upset the money wasn’t together, speaking loudly, threating us if we didn’t have tip money that we were trying to gather. To the point… that they don’t want him here anymore. He looks very mean but we always dealt with it. We order he everyday it unfortunately have to find other places now

Tried this restaurant for the first time today and had it delivered via Door dash. Their fries are amazing! I would have given this establishment 5 stars but the burgers are supposed to come with a side salad and a pickle wedge and I received either. I was told that I had to "ask" for it. Why should I have to ask for something that is already included? It wasn't even offered. The door dash driver placed the order and wasn't even offered the side salad. Manager needs to go- I just came from there and when I went in to pick up my order the manager (tall guy, goatee, tattoo on right wrist) was flipping out that orders were being placed and dropping F bombs. He was yelling "what is it some F'ing holiday the day before Halloween that everyone has to get takeout!!" ,then he claims " I've already worked… 40 F'ing hours all I wanted was one easy day and I guess I am not going to get it!!" The the phone rings and he drops another F bomb. He gets pissed that he ran out of lettuce and tomatoes and yells" I guess I have to go slice more F'ing tomatoes
