It is not often that I give a 5-star rating to an automobile repair shop that didn't fix my truck, but my experience is the reason you want to work with these folks. I had a 15-year old Ford F-150 which was making ticking sounds similar to issues associated with lifters, oil issues, or a timing chain. My normal mechanic referred me to Greg's Orange Auto and I had my truck towed to their shop. "JR" did an amazing job of keeping me informed on the progress and always called when me he needed to perform more analysis due to the possible severity of the repair. Long story short

The BEST place to take your car. I used to take my 2009 Dodge Avenger here in college, but moved to LA since I graduated a few years ago. I've never been able to find a better mechanic than JR. I had a pervasive issue that my local mechanic couldn't figure out, and the dealer refused to diagnose because of rust (it's an East Coast car, and the dealer was being ridiculous). JR diagnosed the issue within hours. He kept me informed of how things were going and price throughout, and he really explained to me what was going on! After two recent trips to a repair shop out of state to fix a brake issue, the real problem had not been fixed. Despite the fact I had to pump my brakes to stop the vehicle and look at a break light and anti-lock dashboard light while I was driving. I made it back to Irvine. I took the vehicle to Greg's this morning and within minutes they diagnosed the problem. JR explained the problem and physically showed me the problem (a leaking rear wheel brake cylinder). A few hours later I was good to go (Greg test drove it first to make sure everything was okay). The price was reasonable. I

I called in the morning for a headlight replacement and they said they could take me that same day. They replaced the headlight while I waited and JR and team were extremely helpful and fast and affordable. When my car needs repairs it is always stressful so I appreciate the service at Greg's so much! They also will tell you what your car might need next or additional recommended service without being pushy or "sold to". Great, honest auto repair shop that I highly recommend.

6 weeks ago I was towed to this shop and I'm lucky I was. The staff is great and they fixed my vehicle at a great price and quickly. I was impressed with the time that Greg and JR took to get to know our vehicle inside and out, before working on it. We had a bit of an "Odd Duck" with our Promaster "Eco Diesel" and they did the research before jumping in. What we thought was was a catastrophic failure, ended up being an oil viscosity issue. Thank you JR for your honest and committed work. I brought in my old 1999 V6 Mustang 2 years ago to get the manual fixed. (It snapped on the freeway making gear selection useless) I called Greg's Auto and spoke to JR and he told me to get it towed to their facility to see what they can do. They completely fixed it and actually made it shift and drive better then when I first initially bought it.
