Briar Laine House
We created Briar Laine Inc. in 2005 with the goal of building custom homes in the Pacific Northwest. Cindy was overseeing the construction while Don continued his job as Sales Manager for Boise Cascade in Woodinville, WA. After just two houses the recession hit and the demand for custom homes died.

It took awhile to figure out what direction to take the company. Both Cindy and Don have always been passionate about food, and after some research decided to create Briar Laine Personal Chef Service, and the company was going strong until Cindy's Leukemia diagnosis in 2018. In the spring of 2019 after 8 months of intense treatment Cindy was in remission and looking to slowly getting back to work.
Services
The entire house has 7 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, there is a connecting door that will be locked if you are renting just one of the units. The first floor is handicap accessible and has a full kitchen, great room, 2 Queen bedrooms and a full bathroom. The second floor has a game/family room, master bedroom with a King bed and private bath, a Queen bedroom, a bedroom with 2 Twins and a full bathroom.
Cute and comfortable - exactly what we needed to be comfortable near the shenandoah trails! Centrally located in Luray - everything looks new/updated including a fully equipped kitchen. The place was clean, had enough work spaces for our 2 kids who were able to do their schoolwork (remote learning), and the technology was much appreciated (smart tv with decent wifi-speed for all of our tablets, laptops, phones, etc.).

Absolutely amazing! We loved the game room and front porch. Within walking distance to all that downtown has to offer - the brewery, Valley Cork, the theater, ice cream shop, etc. Cannot wait to stay at Briar Laine again! Thank you!!

We enjoyed our stay at Briar Laine house. The house was very clean and updated. It was within walking distance to great restaurants, a brew pub and a town greenway. Easy access to Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns, as well. We would highly recommend Briar Laine.

My husband, Carl and I took a much needed trip out of town for the first time since the start of the pandemic. We headed to Luray, Virginia for a quick weekend getaway. We stayed at Briar Laine House on Main Street.
A couple of days before our arrival, we received an email giving clear instructions on how to check in and from that moment on everything was wonderful. We pulled into our parking spot, unlocked the door and walked into a beautifully appointed and wonderfully maintained home. The kitchen was amazing. It would be easy to cook a 3-course meal for eight with everything there. We were

Briar Laine House is a hidden gem on Main Street Luray. It's your home away from home. The house is roomy enough for a full family or a quiet romantic get away for two.

My family had a lovely stay at Briar Lane in Unit A. The house was extremely spacious, beautiful, and clean. The kitchen was well stocked, and we had everything we needed in terms of towels and linens. It was conveniently located for access Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns and very close to the bakeries and eateries in town. The game cupboard was stocked with family games for down time in the evening, and we almost wished for inclement weather so we could spend more time enjoying the lovely house!

Wonderful rental home! Cindy was incredibly responsive to our questions, the house was spotless and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need. We celebrated Thanksgiving here and it was the perfect setting. The house is conveniently located near Luray Caverns and Shenandoah national park. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean stay away from home.

We had four adults in the house and we all loved staying at Briar Laine. ( We rented Unit A) The house is beautiful, clean, and has a lot of space!!
You can get to the river quickly but were close to a grocery store and restaurants. Cindy, the owner, was great to work with... very responsive! We can't wait to go back next year!!
