Island Digestive Health Center is a facility utilizing CO2 for colonoscopy dedicated to bringing endoscopy procedures to the people of Long Island. We are a centrally located, state licensed, AAAHC accredited outpatient ambulatory surgical facility. Specializing in diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower endoscopic procedures, including colorectal cancer prevention and hemorrhoid treatment.

We are pleased to welcome you as a patient t our facility. We are a free standing ambulatory surgery center affiliated with Good Samaritan Hospital and we are proud to be an Article 28 facility accredited by Joint Commission.
Although every physician participates with different insurance plans, it is the goal of this organization to work with patients on all facets of their care, including their billing and insurance information. Insurance information will be verified before appointments, and insurance claims related to individual doctors' participation will be submitted for an assignment.
We offer a range of procedures at Island Digestive Health Center to assist you and your physician in identifying an illness or treating a condition. A colonoscopy is a safe, fast, and minimally invasive procedure, in which a trained physician uses a special instrument called a colonoscope to view the gastrointestinal (GI) tract; specifically the colon and rectum.

If only negative stars were an option. Never, in 50 years, have I walked out of a doctor's appointment that took months to schedule, until today! Well played Island Digestive, well played! Everything, ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING everyone has posted is absolutely true. Overcrowded, packed and filthy waiting room ... pandemic theatrics non-withstanding. Waiting an hour for my appointment. Rude staff. If this is how bad the waiting room is, why would I POSSIBLY trust them with any type of procedure? No way ... pass.

I was on hold for over an hour trying to reach someone regarding an upcoming procedure, which listed the wrong date than I was given in the office. I was then told that they no longer accept my insurance (i had a procedure there a little over a year ago and they accepted my insurance). Nobody from the office contacted me nor would they bill my secondary insurance, which would cover the procedure. The staff is rude, unprofessional and needs to be trained. I WILL NEVER USE THIS OFFICE EVER AGAIN. Dr. Lobo is never on time for his appointments (2 hours late for last appt and was never contacted that

Didn't even get to the office yet and I'm giving 1 star. Made an appointment and gave my information and they kept on calling my emergency contact and text messaging them as well about my appointment. Not once did I receive a call about my appointment or to confirm. I called to cancel and waited online for 20 minutes each time and was hung up three separate times. When I told them this they apologized but told me that it wasn't them and that they don't know why this is happening. From what I'm seeing in the other reviews this is their MO. Need to find another doctor. If the phone service is like

Horrible attitudes all around . DR AHDAMI was rude, and extremely annoyed because he had to see my father, that wasnt HIS patient. He could be heard from the hallway, discussing the fact another person. If I could give less than a negative star rating, I would. My Father felt terrible as it was & did not need to be spoken to in such a manner

Had an appointment with Dr. Adhami. Arrived a few minutes early to handle any necessary paperwork. Waiting room was packed with people during a conara virus pandemic! No social distancing and it looked like many people had been waiting for hours. The unfriendly front desk assistant then told me that my appointment had been canceled with a voice mail message. Totally false. No calls or messages were received. And the chart notes show that I was the one who canceled the appointment. Terrible experience and would NEVER recommend them or attempt to reschedule.

For more than a month going to ER with stomach disconfort , the hospital told me I had kidney stones. Went to the gastro because my pain persist... he didnt put attention to my symptoms and gave me antiacid . I decided to goto another health provider, the endoscopy showed an extra large duodenal ulcer . Nothing else to say , but careless facility . Very sad to say ...with all the technology
