You aren't a bad parent. In fact, it seems like you've put more work into helping your child to overcome life's challenges than the average parent. You stayed awake at night, agonizing over the best decisions for your child, often times over-thinking what the best way was to handle these behaviors, and yet these behaviors have continued to get worse and worse.
The process of separation or divorce is difficult-filled with intense emotions and perhaps heightened conflict due to hurt feelings from the past relationship. You both want what's best for your child, but if you're like most separated couples, you may not agree on what that is.

Perhaps there have been more tantrums, higher displays of emotions, controlling behaviors or even some disruption in some milestones such as sleeping through the night, potty training, listening, eating or school achievement. You're looking for help because you want to make sure that your decision to separate as a couple does not have a negative lasting impact on your child's development, behavior and life in general.
It can be normal for an individual to have fears, nervousness, or worries throughout life. But if you notice that your child experiences fears, nervousness, worry, or anxiety that seems to be excessive and/or interfering with other aspects of their life including school, home, friendships and leisure times, you may want to reach out to a mental health professional to learn more about anxiety and how it could be impacting your child or teen.
Autism Spectrum Disorder, also commonly known as ASD, is a neurodevelopmental condition that involves a combination of symptoms of deficits in social communication and social interaction as well as restricted, repetitive patterns of behavior, interests or activities that shows up in many environments or contexts (home, childcare, school, social relationships, etc.).
It is normal for an individual to have emotional ups and downs throughout the day. But, if you notice your child or teen having mostly down days filled with irritability, sadness, and/or loss of interest in things they once enjoyed, you may want to reach out to a mental health professional to see if your child is experiencing depression.

Emily is the first professional that really made progress with our daughter. Our daughter loves going to her appointments and she gets so much out of them. I highly recommend Emily!

Emily encompasses a broad range of resourceful insights. Not only does she offer great therapeutic care for children; but their parents and daycare providers as well.

We have loved and enjoyed our time with Emily. We utilized her play therapy skills for my son from age 5 through 6 1/2. Although we LOVE our son, we weren't liking him very much. He exhibited random tantrums and excessive sensitivities to his environment. As parents, we were in over our heads and needed help.
With help from our sons teacher, we researched and found Emily, and what a blessing she has been! We would drive 90 miles each direction to play with Emily, and our experience with her was well worth the time and effort. We saw immediate improvement in behavior, and were able to fine-tune
