Families Forward supports women and their children who have experienced domestic or family violence within the past two years. This program helps participants learn about the impact of trauma, build coping skills and explore trauma-related emotions. The program consists of two groups that meet at the same time-one for mothers and the other for children ages 4-12.
Families Forward group meets once a week for 10 consecutive weeks. Enjoy camaraderie with fellow non-runners, enjoy the Sioux Falls bike trail and have a beer (or root beer) on us. Costumes at the race are encouraged, and you could WIN BIG in our costume contest. By BIG we mean we'll find something cool for you to enjoy.
