Services
The philosophy behind our curriculum is that young children learn best by doing. Learning isn't just repeating what someone else says; it requires active thinking and experimenting to find out how the world works. Children explore the world around them by using all their senses (touching, tasting, listening, smelling, and looking).
Here at The Sandbox Childcare Center our staff fill the roles of nurturer as well as educator, and someone who encourages learning through exploration. We were using another daycare in Fort Smith, but the quality of care was not up to par, and they underfed our 4 month old, leading her to lose weight. Thanks to the loving care at The Sandbox, my baby girl has gained it back and then some! She loves her teachers and doesn't cry when I take her to daycare anymore. In fact, she almost looks sad when it's time to come home! Love The Sandbox and the ladies there!
