Dr. Muzny graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in Biology. She continued her education at the University of Texas Dental School in Houston, graduating with honors in 2004. Dr. Muzny received her Fellowship award in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2012, recognizing her passion for clinical excellence through hundreds of hours of continuing education.

Dr. Muzny and her team have extensive post-doctoral training in veneers and smile design. We emphasize a very personal approach to smile makeovers, understanding the importance of having each smile unique, and not a cookie-cutter design. A smile makeover is the process of improving the appearance of the smile through one or more cosmetic dentistry procedures, such as dental veneers, composite bonding, tooth implants, teeth whitening and many more. My dental hygienist I worked with today was top notch. Professional, made me feel comfortable and explained everything in great detail….but in Lamens terms for me to understand! She really enjoys her profession, and it shows starting the min she greeted me. I will be a client of this office and specially my hygienist for a very, very long time. Thank you! Absolutely enjoyed my experience today with Ivan (hygienist) and Dr. McDaniell! I have TERRIBLE anxiety when it comes to dentistry, all the way back to a small child. No exaggeration this was the first time I have ever been to a dentist where I didn’t tear up or clinch my hands with fear the whole time. I actually can’t wait to go back for my follow-up. This ease will keep me coming back because of the way I was made to feel today :)

They are a well equipped office to make everyone comfortable no matter what need brings you in. They are warm, friendly, professional AND efficient! I have worked with several of the doctors and supporting staff. I have yet to interact with someone on their staff that doesn’t make me feel taken care of. I have been with them since 2016.

UPDATE--- did raise this review to 3 stars for the effort that was made and the response to my review below. While we appreciate the balance being taken care of, a return phone call informing us that everything was resolved would have been appreciated.
Again, the clinical side staff and front desk are awesome folks...the billing people need a refresher in customer service.
This review is not fully reflective of the customer service at this office...MOST of the staff is nice. First visit wasn't bad.
Second visit - surprise bill for xrays, that the hygienist said was approved and covered

I recently moved to the Woodlands. I was looking for a new dentist. Browsing found several. So I started to call. For excellent customer service, Carrie Muzny's Office won. No contest. It was on my Dental Insurance...yea!
Unfortunately, I'd just had a cleaning at my former dentist. So it would be awhile before I saw them. But stuff happens. A new implant's plug that covers the screw fell out. Argh! So, I called Muzny & they were very nice. Got me in quickly.

From the minutes we walked in the office, we were pleasantly pleased. The front office staff greeted us and each of our hygienist had us back in our dental chairs within five or so minutes. I was excited to try a new dental office since I had many doubts about the old one. I am extremely disappointed. The office looks modern and nice, the staffs, not so much. Come here if you are willing to do whatever they say and ok with whatever they do, regardless of what you say or are told.
First of all, they waited till 3 pm the day before my appointment to call me and said i needed to give them permission to get info from my previous doctor. I freaked out and called them back AND called my old doc to get them to send info over. Of course nothing was done in less than 2 hours, i expected

Went in yesterday with pain and signed agreement to
have a crown put on. Agreement spelled out my portion and
ins portion.
Thought we were all set until office called and renigged on the
deal and wanted a new auth signed. Something about me getting
reimbursed from ins and not bringing them what I will owe them.
Told them I have always brought them their money.
Anyway continued to argue with me so I said after 6 yrs, I will
take my business elsewhere. Over priced anyway.

A very nice, pleasant office BUT they advised me to have a deep cleaning in October when I first visited but my new insurance coverage would not kick in until February. They told me I could wait. I made an appointment for mid-March and asked them to let me know if they had any problems with the insurance.
When the procedure was finished, they told me that my cost was $643. I thought that was very high but it was the first use of my new insurance.
Later, I found they had filed on an insurance policy I had with an employer that had been inactive for 2 years. The insurance paid zero and noted

Hello fellow Yelpers. I'm not much for doing reviews, but felt compelled to leave one after my experience today at Carrie Muzny and Associates. This was by far the best Dentist I've been to in a long time. The staff will bend over backwards to take care of you. The atmosphere of the facility has both high tech and classical urban feel to it. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Muzny and her team definitely have the touch that made me feel right at home. Despite how good the office and people look, everyone is friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk in.
Like any 2017 doctor, there's a lot to sell you on, dentist and team are not high pressure sales. They'll give you their "2 cents" and let you decide what's right for you.

Always a great environment and all the dentist and hygienists are a pleasure to have a conversation with. They all know what they are doing and they have the latest and great technology in the dental world. Our kids love going without being scared even after having four teeth extracted in preparation for braces. They are always running on time and get you in and out for all the treatments you may need.

Had a great experience. The office staff is very courteous and professional and went to great lengths to make sure I was comfortable. I had a great experience with my hygienist.
Saw Dr. Lawnin for my exam and he took plenty of time to go over my treatment with me without "upselling" or pushing unnecessary dental procedures.
The office itself is very clean and modern but it was the friendly staff that made the biggest impression on me.

Even though I had retracted my previous 1-star review related to processing of insurance paperwork, refunds and just overall attitude I received from Dr. Muzny's office staff up until I posted the previous review (which then prompted many follow up calls and emails and finally paperwork questions were resolved and I removed the review), I have to bring the 1-star rating back as a public service, because on top of all the headache with paperwork, 2 months later I am still dealing with major discomfort from the crown replaced by Dr. Lawnin.

I really love Dr. Lawnin. He took the time to sit with me and helped me understand what was wrong with my teeth and what the next steps were to fix them.
The office is hands down the most gorgeous dentist office I've ever been in and the staff and office manager were overly friendly. I hate going to the dentist but I love going to Dr. Lawnin.

During my appointment when they were taking all kinds of pictures of my individual teeth, gum measuring, and other things I've never had done before, I specifically asked the hygienist whether my insurance was going to cover it all and he replied with a resounding "yes! This is all covered!"
Three weeks later, I received an invoice for $276 FOR A STANDARD DENTAL CLEANING! As it turned out
