Since 2010, we have offered effective and affordable care to Chico and the surrounding areas. Our licensed acupuncturists have completed at least four years of schooling, and maintain that license with continuing education. We believe that natural medicine can be helpful and accessible to all.

She attended Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, earning a Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. After her third year at Five Branches Olivia traveled to Hangzhou, China to study at Zhejiang University, getting in contact with the roots of acupuncture. There, she observed Traditional Chinese Medicine being used in hospitals as a regular form of treatment for basically any kind of ailment or dysfunction.
A typical visit starts with you checking in with the acupuncturist about your primary concern, and then getting an individualized treatment. We like to know how you're doing in-general, beyond the usual single thing you are coming in for. How's your sleep? Digestion? Mood? Energy? What else is going on with you?
Generally, people use acupuncture to help with a specific pain, illness, or discomfort that they're currently having or they may seek help with a problem that comes and goes. Using acupuncture as part of your regular "health tool kit" will increase energy, reduce stress, and support your immune system.
Acupuncture can increase your chances of conception, promote a healthy pregnancy, and support you after giving birth*. During pregnancy you often can't use the medications you may normally use for colds and flus, allergies, pain, migraines, etc. Acupuncture is an effective alternative that is safe for both mom and baby.

Best treatments ever! I suffer from chronic pain, lupus, R.A., migraine headaches and other daily disabilities and after my first time getting acupuncture from the pinwheel I was totally amazed and so very impressed. I recommend pinwheel to all. The staff is so kind and the overall environment is very relaxing. If I could give anyone one gift it would be a wonderful appointment at the pinwheel!! 5+stars for sure:)

I feel so blessed to have Pinwheel as a huge part of my healing team. Sometimes in life you get more challenges. I was hit while parked by a motorcycle. I have had 5 bulging discs, left arm & shoulder. Then had a successful robotic surgery. I came home to live with my dad. Michelle is phenomenal with pain, mood, immune, insomnia, hormones balancing the list goes on. She truly cares that is what makes the difference.
