A traditional favorite, the mini eclair is made from a bite sized pate a' choux filled with diplomat cream. The eclair is then finished with a coating of ganache and G clef design. Our fruit tart is as unbeatable as it is stunning. We start with a traditional French butter tart shell and add a touch of raspberry preserve.
The minimum quantity order of individual size pastries may vary as per the type of pastry and time ordered. This number will usually range from 6-12 pieces of an individual type of pastry. All of our varieties of mini mousses are available in a single serving dessert size as well. Our classical cheesecake is made with real cream and the finest cheeses to create a velvety texture that we challenge you to match.
All Non - Seasonal cakes are available by order, provided that enough notice is given. Most specialty cakes are available in the 8", 10" sizes or larger. For birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions we suggest that you allow Cassis Bakery to put together the perfect cake to suit your taste.
The classical wedding cake is composed of three layers of chiffon sponge cake lightly flavored with liquors and/or natural extracts to match their two layers of fresh mousse made from fruits, nuts, and/or spices. The cake is covered in real Italian butter cream, made only with the finest butter. The cake is decorated with ribbons, butter cream detail work, and fresh flowers which can be matched to the bride's preference.
Each class will be taught by one of our master chefs and will give you the opportunity to learn some of Cassis's hidden secrets behind our wonderful desserts. The baking classes will be held Monday mornings from 9am - 11am. The cake decorating classes will be held in the afternoons from 1pm - 3pm. Each class will cover a variety of topics chosen by our master chefs.

I don't know if they changed hands, but I had the worst experience for my sons birthday cake.
When I arrived there to pick up my cake ,it says open at 8 am. The place was still closed at 8:30, you have to ring a buzzer to let them know you’re there. When I entered the whole place was empty with nothing displayed. When I got my cake they didn’t give me the right box , my cake was sticking out because the box was too small. When I got home not only did my cake got buttercream everywhere and destroyed the the top but when it was served no one literally ate it. The cake was nothing like I described

I have never stepped foot inside this place, but have had a wide variety of their deserts at parties (maybe a dozen different parties over the course of a decade or so). They range from very good to "holy crap what is this magical treat that has entered my mouth?!"
Seriously though, I am told the owner specializes (maybe went to school for French pastries) and it shows! The french cakes and pastries specifically are always out of this world. Can't recommend their French cakes highly enough!

Nice local coffee house. I got an iced coffee and it was only ok. It had coffee ice cubes which was pretty cool. I also had an almond croissant which was average. The woman serving coffee, who had yellowish hair and a cool hat, was an incredibly happy, positive vibe type of person. She is definitely a huge plus to this place.

Very kind service! All the pastries that we sampled were great! However, I think that their specialty at Cassis is really with cakes. Some of the cakes that we saw in the store were gorgeous. All of the pastries that are pictured were fantastic, my favorite being cheesecake with a fresh strawberry on top.

What a beautiful and delightful cake. This bakery really did a fantastic job from the beginning of my transaction until the final product. Their customer service was outstanding. They called me to ask for more details about what I wanted, gave me several decor with pricing options and the chocolate mousse was the best ! It was light and fluffy and not too sweet. This cake was the talk of the party. Thank you . You have quite the talent!

After visiting an art gallery in Beverly, I was looking for a place to get a coffee and pastry and wandered into Cassis. I was immediately charmed by the decor- vases of flowers made entirely of chocolate- and the stylish chairs and tables. Unfortunately, my iced coffee was terrible. I could barely finish a quarter of it and had to throw out the rest. I thought: Ok, this is more of a bakery than a coffee shop, maybe coffee's just not their thing. However, the slice of carrot cake I ordered was also a disappointment. It looked beautiful, but the icing to cake ratio was way too high. I felt

Cassis Bakery did the wedding cake and pastries for our wedding. Let me start off by saying how wonderful it was to work with Uldison. He was incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. On the day of our wedding, the cake looked gorgeous and it tasted just as good as it looked! All of our guests talked about the amazing pastries. I watched them fly off the dessert table. My only regret is I didn't buy more :) we will be back to buy desserts for future special occasions. Thank you so much, Cassis Bakery!

If you are looking for a freshly made dessert with the best texture, taste, smell (and every other characteristic) that you have ever had, this is the place. The pastries and desserts are each a little masterpiece not only in terms of eating qualities but also in terms of their visual appeal - they are artworks. Mini pastries are especially impressive and are sure to wow anyone. A huge plus is that the bakery has gluten free selection which has proven to be safe. Lastly, hot coffee is delicious (and the coffee is freshly roasted). Highly recommend!

We've bought several cakes here over the past few years and they have always been beautiful, delicious and reasonably priced.
My experience this past week was especially exceptional due to the awesome customer service (and of course the absolutely perfect cake) I received! I called with a last minute request for a birthday cake the following day. The cake was for a family member with very specific dietary needs, and the staff at Cassis bent over backwards to make sure they accommodated, calling me back multiple times and confirming the ingredients to be sure the cake met our needs.

We stopped in to grab a few pastries this evening. Very cute place, fair pricing and beautiful looking pastries. Overall though, did not taste good. We tried the mini strawberry mousse cake, the cheesecake, and the eclair. The cheesecake was not firm and had an overwhelming lemon flavor. The mousse cake was gummy and not very good. The eclair was the best of the three but the filling was bland, not sweet, not savory. Left me with an odd taste in my mouth. Not what i expected from the lovely display.

Been here a few times, nice staff and tasty, cheap, CHEAP stuff. Chocolate chip cookies for $1, brownies for $1.50
Chocolate chip cookie: kinda cake like, but tasted homemade
Meringue w chocolate chip: delicious!
Chocolate chip brownie: dry, but not bad, especially for $1.50 - I tossed it into some ice cream and it became great.

Wow! This bakery has the best desserts I've found in the greater Boston area! The flavors of each item are distinct, high-quality, and delicious! They offer interesting dessert options with unique combinations. The presentation is excellent! My parents brought an assortment of mini-cakes and desserts to the hospital to celebrate the birth of my new baby. These seriously hit the spot and were so good that I almost ate them all without sharing. I'll definitely be returning when I need a cake for a party in the future. So Good!

Good service, yummy baked goods. I come here to sit and talk with friends. I like the atmosphere because it's not crowded. At the same time, they may need to do some interior designing to attract more people. One time when I came, an employees touched my food without gloves, which was painful for me to watch. The drinks I've gotten here have been pleasant; they have a wide range of teas. The food is pricey, but I knew that coming in.

On a last mi ute whim, I called up Cassis to see if they had any Bunche de Noels left. Much to my surprise they did. The decorations, while not true classic meringue were beautiful. The cake it self was VERY sweet. A tiny slice sufficed. Everyone raved about it. I also brought home a dozen macaroons. They were light & airy & pure perfect. I will be back to order from here again.

Cassis Bakery made me a special order 10-inch strawberry shortcake ($40) for my fiance's birthday, and it turned out beautifully! Easy to place the order with prompt responses, and everyone raved about the cake! It was light, fresh, and not too sugary sweet, topped with chocolate covered strawberries, and added the "Happy Birthday" on top for no charge. Could not have been happier with it, worth the price, delicious, and think a few new customers will be headed that way for other occasions now after tasting the cake! Thanks for the perfect summer celebration dessert!

We use this bakery for all our family's birthdays and even for our wedding in October 2010!
Any wedding cake can look beautiful but the most important thing for us was the taste. We wanted to make sure we got a cake that our quests would enjoy. They were not disappointed. We were not disappointed, in fact, we can't wait until our 1st anniversary to defrost the top!
We also ordered mini pastries for the dessert table. They were a huge hit. It was the perfect combination of cake and mini pastries.
The owner was very accommodating leading up to our big day. He was very professional
