In the early 1990's, Rita Huffer, owner/operator of Rita's Care at Home LLC, began working as Director of Social Services at a skilled nursing facility in the Tennessee area where she grew up. She continued to work in skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes over the years, obtained her administrator's license, and then began managing assisted living communities.
It's not easy to allow someone to come into your home. You can have peace of mind that we offer the most highly trained and professional staff in the industry. We hire experienced caregivers with the highest character. A gentle and compassionate nature describe our caregivers best. They must pass a criminal background check, abuse registry check, and drug screen.

Each caregiver is screened and must pass a criminal background check, abuse registry check, and drug screen. Prior work and character references are also checked before they are placed in a home to provide care.

Rita's took care of my wife's Aunt the last year of her life. She had early on set Alzheimer's, and the staff at Rita's Care at Home were very knowledgable in taking care of her needs. The staff where very caring, professional, and willing to help out in any way they could. My wife's Aunt was well taken care of, and the family was given much needed support. Rita's Care at Home took care of my mother for the past several years of her life. It started out a few hours a week and as Mom aged it deemed necessary to have there care at home provided at 24/7. This agency was very caring and efficient when it came to my Mom or to myself and the family. The caregivers were wonderful and went above and beyond with the service, care, and love shown toward my Mom. Mom was so pleased with the services provided that she even recommended them to her elderly friends! If there ever was a problem that needed to be addressed, the office staff made sure it was taken care

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY. THEIR EMPLOYEES ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. LET ME GIVE YOU SOME EXAMPLES: TARDINESS OR CALLING IN SICK ON A REGULAR BASIS, ETC.; SLEEPING MOST OF THE DAY UNDER THE COVER ON THE COUCH UNTIL AROUND 3:00 p.m., MY FATHER FINALLY WOKE HER UP AND TOLD HER TO STAY UP!; COMING INTO THE HOUSE EATING OUR FOOD FOR BREAKFAST BEFORE ATTENDING TO THE PATIENT'S FEEDING; AND TO TOP IT ALL, MY SWEET MOTHER WOKE UP ONE MORNING WITH A BLACK EYE. I FIGURED OUT WHAT HAPPENED AND WHO DID IT!! ACTUALLY, I COULD GO ON AND ON BUT WILL GATHER MY SENSES AND MOVE ON.
