Original Building Purchased and Converted into a Funeral Home in 1954 - Built in 1880 as the private residence and legal office of H.C. Howard, Esq. The legal office was located in the bay window on the first floor which is currently Hagan Funeral Home's reception office. We are a traditional family owned funeral home and cremation center serving all of Delaware County from our beautiful facility in the Old Victorian Section of Media, Pa.
The business was founded in 1954 by William C. Rigby as on old fashioned, family owned funeral home. Carl W. Harting joined the firm in 1970, and became partner in 1977. In 1983, Bill Hagan, a lifetime Media resident, purchased the business and it was named Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home.
We have purchased adjoining properties, expanded our parking facilities, made spacious additions to our original facility without losing the charm our founder, William C. Rigby intended.We will continue to be an old fashioned family owned funeral home. It is a mantle we carry with pride and distinction.

Our funeral home is located in the heart of Media Borough. We are on Fourth Street between Jackson and Monroe Streets, directly across from Borough Hall and the Media Police Station. The residential surroundings offer ample parking and a peaceful setting away from the hustle and the traffic of large thoroughfares.
Cremation has arrived as a normal method of disposition. We embrace the concept, and offer direct cremation with no service, to the traditional cremation with viewing, service in our beautiful facility or your church, graveside burial of ashes, scattering services, memorial services and we offer cost saving cremation packages.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.

A funeral home that cares and goes over and above to comfort you and gently walk you thru a process
Which can be daunting, especially with planning a funeral when you are in the midst of grief! They were professional , friendly, compassionate from start to finish, handling everything with sensitivity and ease.
My mom deserved the best and that is what she received. I am so grateful and blessed we found Rigby, Harding & Hagan funeral home , would highly recommend them to everyone.

The Hagan funeral home did an amazing job with my mother funeral. We were able to set up her arrangment two weeks before she passed which made it so simple We had plenty of time to make our decision. The day of was handle with such respect and beauty in honor of my mom. The hardest challenge in my life was turned into an amazing experience. Thank you Hagan.

I would like to do a shout out to the Hagan Funeral Home in Media Pa. The Hagan family could not do enough for our family. From the moment we stepped into their funeral parlor to the day of the funeral service. They thought of everything including water and tissues at the the mass. Everything ran so smooth the whole day.. What a beautiful tribute for my mother.

I have not been to Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral home, however, friends who attended the Funeral for my dear ex wife Paula Patinella stated that it was one of the best funeral homes they have ever been to.

I unfortunately have more experience planning funerals than I care to. This was my first experience dealing with this funeral home. We happened upon them by just searching Google. I have to say, given the situation, It was absolutely wonderful dealing with Bill Hagan and company. They are welcoming and made us feel comfortable with the requests that we had. They are compassionate, and accommodating. When a funeral home is needed in the future, I will not hesitate to contact them.
