This exclusive collection available only at Mellow Monkey offers framed prints and maps from the archives of the Stratford Historical Society in Stratford, Connecticut. A portion of the sale of items in this collection are donated to the SHS to help maintain their important mission. These items are not eligible for discounts of any kind.
You shop in store and spend at least $10 during a visit and you receive one punch on the card. You shop online and either pickup in store or if the shipping address is in Connecticut, we will include a card with your order. 3. Once your card has five punches, you can redeem it for 25% off a regularly priced item*.
Mellow Monkey now offers a convenient way to make a purchase while spreading your payments over time with NO INTEREST charges. Installments by Afterpay allows you to purchase in four equal installments, due every 2 weeks. A FREE face mask will be provided to any customer who needs one while shopping in the store. Traveling I-95 Northbound, take Exit 30 Surf Ave/Lordship Blvd. Proceed straight onto Lordship Blvd (0.8 miles), continue straight onto Access Road (0.9 miles). Turn right on Main Street at traffic light (0.3 miles), then turn left onto Sniffens Lane (0.4 miles), then left into 2nd driveway at 360 Sniffens Lane.

I really appreciate this store's commitment to safety during the pandemic and the owner researching KN95 masks to only sell what is shown to be effective. He even updates customers on social media about the CDC guidelines. I have not spent much time shopping here since I only recently discovered the store 4 months ago, but I have been buying KN95s here since then. Amazon is charging twice as much for the same masks and I also would not trust what Amazon sells. I highly encourage anyone looking to buy KN95 masks to buy them here because the owner is dedicated to following the science and only selling

I ordered two mango wood angels from Mellow Monkey's Christmas sale on 12/26/21. I received the items on 12/29/21 only to find one of the angels was substantially cracked. After using the company's chat and email to attempt to make contact, my husband called to try to secure an exchange. The employee who answered indicated he knew the angel was substantially cracked (over 1" in depth running the length of the body), but sent it anyways. Neither Mellow Monkey's website nor the manufacturers website stated that the item would contain extensive cracking. The owner's response was that he would ship

Can’t say enough great things about this store! Wonderful place to shop for your home or buy a gift for someone special. They literally have something for everyone. I’ve been several times since settling in the area and always find something unique. Today I specifically went in search of holiday decorations. Unfortunately many of my favorites were misplaced in our move. Found several great things, plus a few gifts, too. Wonderful staff! An overall fantastic shopping experience

I love this store! Everything is so cute! I always go in with the intention of buying a gift for someone else and I end up getting myself something also. I appreciate the safety protocols they have in place and it's too bad that after a year and a half into the pandemic, people are still unable to wear a mask for 20 minutes while shopping (referring to the review below). Always a positive experience at this store! I appreciate the owner’s adherence to wearing masks, distancing and one-way traffic flow. I’ve never left the store empty-handed! There’s something for every budget, and I could spend days in the card section.
The owner also contributes to the community of Stratford with fundraisers and raises awareness of other small local businesses! What more could you ask for?

If you’ve read a negative review about this place take it to heart! I was in this store. I got over heated and pulled my mask down to get some air as I felt like I was going to pass out. The owner did not appreciate it and loudly and in front of customers told me to go outside next time I felt like I was going to pass out. Stunned.

I want to be clear that I rarely write reviews. I go right to the source with my concerns or compliments. Not on this place, my 3rd review!! When you feel faint and pull your mask down to get some air and the store owner tells you to put it on and go outside if you feel faint....you've got to be kidding me? How about a chair? I wasn't sure I could make it to the door.
I also read in the reviews that the owner/this store treated a 1/yr old and disabled child the same way. I wish I would have read the reviews prior. I wouldn't even have gone in.

I'm still nervous to shop during covid but a tradition my husband and I have is we always pick out a new ornament for the tree each year. I browsed online and was easily able to find the perfect items for our tree and a few extra things form our cats. Placed my order for curbside pick up all before I finished my first cup of coffee. It was that easy! My order was ready quickly. Curbside pickup directions were clear and easy and my items were just what described and beautiful. Absolutely love everything about this business. They have such whitty and charming merchandise to where I keep checking back again and again for unique items for my home. Excellent choices for those with peculiar taste for quality and uniqueness.
I discovered them during the pandemic and with all of what is going on in the world right now especially how small businesses are effected I just continue to want to do business with them. I will be doing all of my holiday shopping here it is a one stop shop for one of a kind items.

This store and the owner Howard are both incredible. Toms of unique gift options at various price points. Even if you only have $10 you can find something. I usually get lots of holiday gifts there and birthday gifts there because he offers such cute and unique items. He takes pride in his shop. I appreciate how hard they are working to keep the shop safe in a pandemic. But what I most appreciate is the monthly charity he donates to. Howard is always helping to support local business and local charities. Class act!

Absolutely one of the best places in Stratford to go. I love how much the owner is in touch with the community and how well his staff treats the customers. I've gone in on several occasions pre pandemic and was helped beyond normal customer service. During pandemic I was online shopping and reached out via message and was helped as well. The owner went out of his way to make sure what I was ordering was in stock before I placed my order and showed me similar items in case it was not.

This place was completely rude to us as soon as we entered the building. I get being safe but then there is being utterly disrespectful (owner telling me to pay attention to him as I look at the store for a minute). I am a physician so believe me I know the extent of this virus but how they handled the situation was not appropriate. I do not recommend anyone to go to this store. I would never spend a penny of my money here and it's unfortunate because they do have unique cute things. People spend your money at the local hard working good stores not the arrogant better than you attitude store

Howard, the owner, is one of the nicest and most altruistic shop owners I have had the pleasure of meeting! He truly cares about his clients and his community! The shop is full of fun, unique gifts and home decor. If you want to shop in person, the store is being extremely careful during these crazy times and has posted all of their safety procedures. But if you prefer to shop from home, you can check them out online and have your goodies delivered or do curbside pick up! The best of both worlds! I do suggest donning your mask and stopping by to meet Howard and check out this amazing hidden gem

My daughter (who is well-behaved and does not act out in stores) accidentally broke something at this store and the owner was incredibly gracious. My daughter felt badly about it and didn't know what to expect because this never happened before. The owner gently told her "it's ok accidents happen" and was genuinely kind to us.
