Dr. Oliver has been active with the San Diego hearing impaired community since 1981 including experience with San Diego City Schools, Children's Hospital, Otoneurology offices, skilled nursing facilities, and private practice. She enjoys participating in benevolent activities to further communication abilities of those in need.

In town for a wedding and my left hearing aid stopped working. Was immediately able to get an appointment Very friendly and competent staff as well as owner/audiologist. Fixed hearing aid at no cost, and sent me home with parts, saying first appointment is always free! I felt well taken care of here.

I have been profoundly hearing impaired since birth. I found Dr Oliver over 20 years ago when I worked in the area. I found a friend and a professional who will do everything in her power to help you get the right device that you need. Her office represent a variety of hearing aid manufacturers in order to offer you the just the right equipment. Her staff is amazing, competent and caring. I'm a senior now and almost all my friends are beginning to lose their hearing. I always say, go see Linda Oliver, she'll take care of you the right way.

I went in for the hearing aid cleaning and they cracked my hearing aid all the way across from tip to tip. They denied everything even though I can see they used some kind of bonding to try and fix. A cleaning usually takes no more than 10 minutes so my guess is they spent 45 minutes trying to conceal the damage. I can't stand liars and cheats i hope they go out of business.

I was feeling very stressed about seeing an in-person specialist because of COVID-19 but the warm, welcoming staff at Oliver Audiology really made my worries melt away. They are taking every precaution (and then some) during this pandemic, and I felt very safe during my appointment. They assisted me with a referral to a local, trusted ENT and Christina even made the appointment for me while I was in the office. I feel very fortunate to be in the care of the superb team of professionals at Oliver Audiology. I think it's almost been 4 years now and every single time they are always super cheerful, professional, and so very concerned about me and my hearing.. it's terrific. I have been coming to these guys for 4 years now. They are always engaging, friendly and welcoming. Christina the receptionist is an Angel! The Doctor is amazing and super smart. She always takes the time with me to make sure everything is perfect. They even make the hearing tests fun. And they just added another hearing aid test booth so as to accommodate their clients more efficiently! AND they have chocolate chip cookies out, whenever it is safe to do so again. With less than satisfactory experiences at Costco, Sharpe, and Scripts over the past 7 years, I approached Oliver Audiology. This is a wonderful audiology practice. I called on Christmas eve to have my hearing aid checked and was promptly seen and helped, all within COVID 19 guidelines. My hearing aid required cleaning and I now know exactly how to avoid the problem in the future. I highly recommend this practice if you need help with your hearing aids. I will definitely go there again for my hearing needs.

I can't believe I have not posted a review yet! I have been using these wonderful people for about 4 years. First of all, Christina is great! She is always professional and welcoming on the phone or in person. The office itself is very stress free and warm. The Doctors here are really knowledgeable and go the extra mile always to make sure you are completely taken care of. Big shout out to Oliver Audiology! I found them here on Yelp. The place I was going to is closed due to the virus. I was having a problem with my left hearing aid These people took me almost the same day I called. They checked both my hearing aids cleaned and sanitized them. They had to order a receiver for the left one and said it would take a few days to get it in. They called two days later made an appointment the same day and took them about ten minutes to repair. All this curbside. I'm a happy camper again

Can't speak highly enough of this facility. We were spending our winter in San Diego (from Minnesota) and I ran into a problem with one of my hearing aids. I called for an appointment late in the afternoon, explained the malfunction and concern. I was booked immediately the following morning! Dr. Oliver spent time with me in consultation, procedure and explanation afterwards. She did not rush me. She was completely thorough and informative. This a was new experience, everything about my visit was extremely professional. I thought I needed new hearing aids but after testing me, Linda told me that my current hearing aids should do the job if they were programmed properly. After the reprogramming I feel like I have new hearing aids. They also have great chocolate chip cookies!

On the day of my appointment, I STILL hadn't heard from them, so I called just to make sure I was on for my appointment. It's a good thing I did, because the person who answered the phone had NO RECORD of my appointment. FURTHER, when I told her I was only getting the impressions, and would not be buying earphones from them, she abruptly told me she "couldn't help me at this time".
Terrible experience, and a complete waste of my time.

Linda obviously loves what she does and it shows based on the attention she lavishes on her clients. The whole staff is actually pretty great. She hooked me up with an awesome set of hearing aids. She was thorough in explaining everything and more importantly listened to my concerns and wishes. I found her personable, funny and someone with a lot of integrity - a far cry from some other audiologists who come across as being one step above car salesmen. Very pleased.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I cannot express how patient, caring, and professional she was with my 95-year old daddy who not only cannot hear, but also has Alzheimer's. Linda seemed to embrace his shortcomings and fully engaged him as she assessed him-- so refreshing, as most of his doctors address me because he can be difficult to reach.
The icing on the cake: They were unsure if insurance would cover the visit but not to worry-- if not, no charge! This office is above and beyond the norm.

I just want everyone to know that the people at Oliver Audiology are amazing. My 93 year old mother has been going here for years and loves them. I went with her to her appointment yesterday to get her new hearing aids and was very impressed. Linda explained to everything to both of us and answered all of my mom's questions patiently. She not only professional, but extremely warm, with a good sense of humor. Jim also was very helpful and friendly. I can't say enough about how wonderful the experience was.

From the moment I walked into Oliver Audiology & Hearing Aid Services, I was greeted with warmth. The office design was inviting and tasteful (I'm a designer, so I might be more prone to value that), and Haley greeting me with professional friendliness. I had called in the week before, as my hearing aid (I wear one in my right ear due to a hearing impairment) had quit functioning. I was unhappy about it because a good one can cost a bit o' money and without it, I experience more tinnitus.

We came here this morning hoping to get my mom's hearing aid fixed while on vacation. Jim fixed it with no issue, and when we asked if they take card he said there would be NO CHARGE and to enjoy our vacation! My husband has had hearing loss for over 5 years. Mainly due to chemotherapy.
He purchased hearing aids 2 years ago that seemed to help, but his hearing has progressively gotten worse. After friends referring us, we came to see Dr. Oliver. What an awesome experience. She took the time to listen to his needs. Gave him a thorough exam with state of the art equipment and even helped ME to understand the severity of his hearing loss. She then adjusted his aids, replaced a part and took the time to show him how to get the most out of them. Now for the first time in months he doesn't mind answering

When I left SD, I vowed to keep them as my audiologist, as I moved to Palm Springs. Well, my recent story is testimony to 5 stars out of 5!!!
I own 3 hearing aids; one primary, and two backups. So my primary goes dead with no revival; tried 5 new batteries . One of the backups worked, marginally. Shipped 2
