Marie has been a member of our team since 1991, with 39 overall years of experience in the world of dentistry. She has her business degree from Kennesaw State University. She loves being part of such an incredible team at Leading Edge Dentistry! Originally from Augusta, Marie is married and has one son, who's currently attending Berry College.

Dr. Michael Howard has provided dental care to the Marietta community for over 30 years. A 1981 alumnus of prestigious Emory University School of Dentistry, Dr. Howard graduated with the honor of being the only student in his class to receive the International College of Dentists Outstanding Achievement Award.

I have been a patient for 25+ years. Dr. Howard and his staff are wonderful. He makes sure that any procedure is painless. I recently had some cosmetic dentistry work performed and could not be more pleased with the results. The changes look very natural and I wish I had done it sooner. Dr. Howard spent a lot of time designing a new smile for me. He provided pictures of what to expect afterwards and it exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Leading Edge Dentistry. They are true professionals.

Every time I go to Dr. Howard for dental care I am greeted with smiles and kind words. The front desk staff are always willing to help. I never wait for more than 5 minutes.
The clinical staff are excellent at their job and taking care of my needs as well. All my questions are answered. The staff and Dr. Howard makes sure I am comfortable before and during any procedure. Dr. Howard is an extremely knowledgeable and gifted dentist. I am always pleased with the results and feel I am getting the best care around. They truly are a group worth smiling about.

I had my regular dental check up at Dr. Howard's practice yesterday since this pandemic stuff started. I was a little nervous, because this was my first visit to an establishment like this since the shutdown. I had nothing to worry about. It was an extremely pleasant experience and I felt comfortable from the very initial contact. The office staff were efficient, and made the revised check-in process to ensure the pandemic procedures were followed seem effortless. I have been going to Dr. Howard for over a year, I would describe this dental practice as “highly professional.” I have had my teeth cleaned by Rachel who was so kind and accommodating. Everything is explained to you and you are made as comfortable as possible. Shauna and Karen are so sweet when I call or when I come for an appointment. I had a crown and Joyce did an excellent job with all aspects from the preparation to the final fitting. I moved to the area a little over a year ago and woke up one morning with a toothache. I called Dr. Howard's office and was so very grateful and impressed with his office staff. They were so nice and worked me in to see the dentist that morning. Since then, I have had more dental work during the past year and Dr. Howard explained everything that would happen each step of the way. I don't know why my first review did not post but I am so happy to write a second one Dr. Howard and his staff are 10 stars unfortunately I I'm only allowed to give five. They go above and beyond, they have the cleanest office and the most professional staff. Dr. Howard is one in 1 million. He makes sure you're comfortable he make sure you were taken care of he make sure you're are pain-free he's up-to-date on the newest and greatest techniques I have had a cleaning in there and left feeling amazing as well as having cavities filled. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Howard and his staff. They are the nicest ladies at the front desk and Dan is such an amazing help as well. I have always hated going to dentist but actually enjoy Dr Howard's office. Dan who works with insurance claims and appointments goes above and beyond to help anyway he can. My husband didn't have dental insurance at the time and needed 2 root canals so Dan called several places to see who would be cheapest and soonest and he did the same for me when I needed a tooth pulled.

I switched dentists in 2014 because I was not totally happy with my dentist at that time. I was able to choose a new dentist because of the glowing reviews I received from my partner. My partner, who fears the dentist and had not been in over many years, finally decided it was time to find a dentist. She investigated several dentists in the area and decided upon Dr. Howard. She came home from her first consultation relaxed and ready to begin her journey to a healthy mouth. If you're like me the dentist is the last place I want to go, until that is I went to see Dr. Howard & his staff. You will have an amazing experience from the friendly & personable front desk staff to the hygienist that provide you a warm neck roll during your cleaning & a blanket if needed. My tooth cracked and broke off on a Thursday evening. Still new to the state and finding a dentist had not made it to the top of my list. Two neighbors recommended Dr. Howard. I called Friday and made a Monday am appt. The practice is charming. They took great care of me. Dr. Howard even called me Monday night to make sure I was okay. What a nice touch! I've found my dentist practice. Now on to the other things on the list...
