A native of Hendersonville, Dr. Merrell graduated from West Henderson High School. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry and Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

I had my first appointment yesterday and it was a wonderful experience! My previous dental office in Florida was phenomenal so I had very high expectations. The staff are all super nice and Dr. Kingsbury was fantastic! I am so happy to have found them and will recommend them to anyone. I walked away with super clean teeth and a smile from having such a good experience. :)

Joshua Merrell and his staff were phenomenal! I was anxious when I arrived for my appointment but doctor Merrell was super patient and supportive throughout the whole experience. The environment was a judgement free zone and so welcoming! Everyone took great care of me. I will recommend Candler family dentistry 100!!! Thank you for everything!

Friendly, caring staff that was concerned for my well being and was up front with required costs with what needed to be accomplished. An honest assessment of needs that was much less costly than the path another Dentist wanted to take (who obviously had a Corvette payment or two to make). This facility was recommended to me by my Primary Care Physician and is close to work . . .

Best experience! If you are seeking a new dentist, then look no further! Great staff, on time, excellent care, customer service, and easy to talk to. They are eager for you to ask questions, they made our next appointment and emailed it to us which was so nice! The dentist was so nice, explained the treatments, showed us the xrays and more. It was not croweded and everyone got treated with time, respect, and with care. Thank you again! Going to refer our family and friends here.

I've been going here for a few years now and I have to say that Dr Swift really helps me with my anxiety issues. He is always so positive and in a great mood and friendly! Really good at fixing so many of my teeth and explains everything well. I have always been very anxious with dentists and I honestly can't help it. I have had many fillings with him and he is always very patient with me, has me raise my hand if i need him to stop. When I've felt panicky he tells me everything is ok and stops and breathes with me. I'm so glad I found this guy!!! He is fantastic at fixing teeth as well, of course

I really liked the dental hygienist, she was kind and spent time explaining and asking questions- very personal. However, the dentist did not even spend a minute getting to know me before handing me a massively expensive treatment plan. It's nice that this practice has all the new technology and stuff, but I am pretty sure that they use this as a way to justify unnecessary work. My teeth aren't perfect, I have always had dental issues, but I go religiously every 6 months for check ups, and have never have I been told I needed so much work done.
