A Personal View is a state-of-the-art private personal training studio that was created to promote one-on-one, customized training in functional fitness. Functional fitness is an exciting new personal training methodology that incorporates a wide variety of equipment and exercises to improve flexibility, stability, coordination, agility, balance and posture.
Functional fitness is anything but boring; it's a moving experience that results in an over-all feeling of wellness, increased strength and renewed energy. My mission is to motivate, encourage, inspire, and assist my clients in achieving their fitness goals. I do this by providing a safe, effective, private alternative to the impersonal, tiresome, machine-based training found in most health clubs.

Services
I specialize in creating strength training programs for individuals who want to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I also have created customized programs to assist clients in overcoming various physical challenges and limitations, such as those from post-cancer rehab, joint replacement therapy, arthritis, osteoporosis, obesity, back problems, and other physical ailments.
Functional fitness is a whole-body synergistic approach to fitness training that focuses on using multiple muscle groups in an integrated fashion, rather than using a series of weight machines to work out individual muscle groups.
Functional fitness is often referred to as "training for life, " because it focuses on preparing your body to eliminate pain and discomfort while you perform daily activities, such as walking, bending, lifting, and climbing stairs.

At age 63 I wanted to be stronger, safer and more comfortable while hiking, gardening, bicycling and the after-glow of all that. Patti is a great teacher, always fully present with me ~ she observes, listens, guides, and meets me at my own level of skill. Never boring, always a bright and interesting workout, each session is anticipated with a good deal of curiosity (how many positions can she think up for me to do push-ups!?)

I used Yelp to look for a personal trainer since I don't belong to a gym and don't want to. Patti is the sole proprietor owner and trainer. She has her own space she uses to train her clients. It's amazing what she comes up with as routines and variety. I was not motivated to begin a workout on my own, so I knew I needed help. Finding Patti was a dream come true. She is very present to every different exercise. She changes things up so you get a good rounded workout based on your abilities and your goals. She is very patient and encouraging and she has a kind caring personality

I have been benefitting from exercising with Patti for almost two years. As a 65-year-old woman I've seen my balance and strength improve immensely. Better yet, I have increased confidence across a range of activities (e.g., downhill skiing, hiking, cycling) resulting in ongoing fitness improvement from these activities as well! I highly recommend working with Patti at least twice per week for optimum results. Bonus: She is a delightful person who clearly tailors the exercises to the individual.
