Are you feeling pain and loneliness even when you are with your partner? Do you long to feel more connected and happy? It may be time to do something different. Sometimes couples try to make changes, to communicate better and stop their cycle of arguing, withdrawing and avoiding each other or the issues.

Things may get better for awhile, and then it can happen again, another argument, or a day of not talking, feeling alone, unheard, or abandoned. It can feel harder and harder to reach out and let your partner know that you are feeling alone and longing to feel close again. It may not feel safe to reach out if you don't know what the response will be or whether you will get a response at all.
Services
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have offices in Hillcrest and Scripps Ranch. I have lived in San Diego for many years and love the weather of course, but I also love it's people, cultural diversity, relaxed lifestyle and wonderful neighborhoods. When I am not seeing clients I enjoy traveling, reading, hiking, and spending time with my family.
Have you been thinking about therapy for a while? Do you feel like you are just barely getting by in life? You have hit a wall and things have got to change. Do you wonder where the old you has gone and if you will ever feel like yourself again? These are all signs that it's time to try something different.
Face to Face Therapy - Individual, Family or Couples Session (standard 50 min.) I reserve a limited number of sliding scale appointment times in my schedule. I also provide out-of-network provider forms for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement to you. Cash, check & credit cards are accepted forms of payment for therapy.
Do I need therapy? Almost everyone comes to a time in life when some understanding, honest feedback, and support can be helpful. Being able to acknowledge that you may need some assistance takes courage and is something to be admired. You may have navigated challenging situations in the past, but if you are feeling stuck, extra support and an impartial listener can be helpful.

I would not recommend for couples therapy. From day one, I felt like it was 2 against 1. I felt worse about our marriage after leaving a session with her than I did before the session. When my wife and I did our separate talks with her, everything my wife said became FACT and items I tried to bring up were ignored. For example, my wife can be dramatic and she will admit that's the case especially when she's upset. During her 1-on-1 session with Rita, she told Rita that I texted her 24/7. When I met with Rita, she immediately informed me that I needed to stop texting my wife throughout
