Karina was great! The shoot was easy and comfortable. The photos came out perfect and she gave us a varied group of images to choose from in a very timely manner. She's professional yet warm and sincere; a tough balance for some depending on the circumstance. She took some professional headshots for our law firm.

I used to be terrified of having my picture taken. I considered myself camera shy. But, after experimenting for many years, I discovered numerous ways to relax and be myself in front of the camera. I have not dated in 25 years and I really did not have a lot of good shots for my dating profile and certainly had never had professional pictures taken with me as the main subject.
Karina, was kind, considerate and had a great sense of humor as she helped me to take some really great shots for my dating profile. She always was trying to gauge my comfort level and helped me to relax before we started. She then helped me to smile and laugh at her sense of humor at just the right times.
The resulting photos were great and have had excellent responses so far.

Karina is awesome to work with. Before we started, she took the time to get to know me, made sure she understood what I wanted to accomplish, and picked out a fantastic location where we could get all of the shots we needed. During the shoot she knew exactly what to do and worked efficiently to get all of the different shots. She's patient and outgoing which made the whole experience relaxing and fun. I'm so glad I found Karina and had her help me with updating my photos!

I will never forget the day that I spent with Karina Louise because the photographs taken that day were of my precious dog Otis. I knew that pet photography was not Karina's focus but I asked her anyway because I loved the photographs she had posted on her FaceBook page (we were FB friends). Recently my boy Otis passed away and as I looked at the framed portrait hanging on my wall, I remembered that it was just one of many great shots that Karina had taken that day. If you are looking to refresh your online portfolio I highly recommend working with Karina.
I am not a fan of having my picture taken (thus the outdated headshots I was using), but Karina's warm and easy-going personality helped me relax and enjoy my photo shoot and those are real smiles and laughter she captured.
Karina was able to quickly determine what was working and what wasn't, which meant we didn't waste a lot of time during the shoot. This was important as I was late for my appointment and we didn't have much time before we lost sunlight.
Overall I was very pleased

I felt really comfortable with Karina. She was fun to talk with and genuinely seemed to enjoy what she does. She managed to keep me engaged in such a way that I thought less about the actual process of taking photos, which might ordinarily seem awkward. I simply dread awkward moments, and for me, having my photo taken is one of them. However, I desperately needed a new LinkedIn photo to help with my SF job search and so I booked an appointment with Karina. Long story short, I'm so glad that I did!

I needed professional headshots taken, which (like some other reviewers) was an intimidating prospect for me. Karina came highly recommended by a friend and she totally delivered. I love her philosophy of keeping photos as natural and genuine as possible, and she made the experience of being photographed for a long period of somehow relaxing and relatively fun.
The photos turned out great - flattering, natural looking, beautifully framed, and expressive of my personality. Karina has a great eye and a knack for finding the genuine beauty in everyone that I've seen her photograph.

I was telling a friend that I had recently had some photos taken and was disappointed because they really didn't feel like me. She mentioned that she had just had some photos taken with a photographer who she felt really "got her." I took one look at Karina's portfolio of photos on line and it was obvious that there was a running theme I felt like I almost knew something about the people in those shots. I really felt he essence of each subject. What could be more important if you're using these pictures for online dating, than to feel like the picture you post conveys

Karina's photos are stunning. She really knows how to capture the essence of a person in her photographs. Everything from the framing of subjects to the contrast of light and brilliance of colors is of the highest quality.

Im a busy, single professional. I was having a hard time meeting people as a result of my schedule so I signed up for an online dating service and wasnt getting much attention. Im not very photogenic and my pictures werent great.
I was recently in San Francisco for work, so I decided to call Karina and I am SO glad I did. She was wonderful! Totally sweet, helpful, professional as well as reasonably priced. I felt like I could really be myself with her. I now have photos for all my online profiles including facebook and LinkedIn that I am actually proud of! Completely worth the time and money

I recently had my photos taken by Karina of Karina Louise Photography. Karina suggested we meet up at Mount Tamalpais when I told her I was a "nature boy". I needed some new photos as I had recently grown a beard and wanted to update my photos, not only for my professional website, but on Facebook, Linked-in etc. etc. etc.
Karina was both professional and fun to work with. We clambered up the trail she with her camera, me carrying my dress shirts on their hangers. She found some great spots to shoot and when we weren't shooting we admired the great views of the whole San Francisco
