Born and raised in SE Michigan. After graduating from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences - College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, in Des Moines, Iowa, he moved back home to do his post graduate training in Podiatric Medicine in the metro Detroit area. He then completed a Podiatric Surgical Residency at POH Medial Center.

Dr. Purtuc is my absolute favorite doctor ever. He is so sweet, gentle and very intelligent. He has taken such good care of both my big toes, performing surgery when I had an infection and then tending to my stress fracture. He even called to see how I was doing and to let me know he prescribed me medication to ease my pain. I am always so excited when I get to see him! He’s the best!
