Pilates is an exercise method created by Joseph H. Pilates in the early 1900's which focuses on strengthening the core muscles. The Pilates method is meant to unite the body, mind, and spirit, through its principles of breathing, core, flowing movement, centering, concentration, and uniform development.

I believe physical movement is the foundation to health and wellness, and Pilates is the groundwork to healthy movement. I love movement and am invigorated teaching Pilates. Using Pilates I help you challenge your boundaries and limitations. I listen to your desires and fears, expectations of me, yourself, and Pilates and I honor this quintessentially.
We encourage you to start with Private Instruction so you will begin your Pilates practice while addressing needs and goals specific to you. You'll be surprised at how quickly you reach your goals and find deep core strength, balance, flexibility, and longer, stronger, leaner muscles. Private instruction gives you an opportunity to focus on your own goals, strengths, and weaknesses.
Bridget's careful and consistent work kept me mobile through a long period of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. After every workout session, the level of pain was more tolerable and I felt that a burst of energy had been infused in my body to keep me going for a time. It often was the only relief I had.

Pilates was never something I saw myself doing, but an in-general, jacked up body and a recent injury had me looking for new ways to recover. I’m happy I gave Body Essentials a try, right away I started seeing improvement and feeling better.
Bridget’s instruction is ridiculously well rounded, and her true compassion and care is inspiring. She subtly combines an amazing amount of knowledge of the field, and the human body and its mechanics with an adaptive, engaged, and positive teaching style. Her patience and upbeat attitude keep the learning experience intuitive and fun.

I took my first aerial yoga class here and the instructor is amazing! She was very good with showing me how to use the silk and asked me about any injuries or problem areas. She is incredibly knowledgeable with body alignment and hands on adjustments. She catered her class to the students in the room and made sure everyone was having a good experience but was able to push us in all the right ways. I highly recommend taking classes at Body Essentials.
