Whew! Y'all, the last couple of years have been a wild ride, to say the least. As you gather with loved ones this year, why not practice some self love by letting Two Clay Birds handle your baking needs? Skip the work, and focus your energy on the people and decorations! Select your faves from the list below, and enter the number of orders you would like of each.
Planning a trip to Hico should be on your bucket list. Hico is a small town in Central Texas that is home to about 1,300 folks. We have a rich rural history, with cotton and the railroad being central to our past, as well as a vibrant Western culture. Hico has a reputation for being a wonderful place to shop for antiques, but we also have a strong food scene, recreational activities, and abundant overnight accommodations.

I love this place. Unassuming when you look at it, but don't pass this gem by!
Was mad at myself for breaking my sugar fast and bought a couple chocolate chip cookies. Then was mad because I wish I'd bought more! Delicious baked goods, breads, cinnamon rolls, salsa, jams, all sorts of yummy things. The chicken pot pie empanadas, wow... Be sure to stop at this great little bakery!

Made a quick day trip from Waco to check on my lovely grandmother today and we can’t rave enough about all the goodies available. We stopped for “the local” and sourdough pecan loaves, of course, but made a second stop on the way out and lucked into cinnamon rolls, kolaches, and the BEST blueberry rhubarb preserves. Thank you!!! 💞

The place, the food, & the owners are wonderful
When we all can again, more than worth the drive from wherever you are from DFW to Waco. Ordinarily lunch is served featuring farm fresh organic produce & made from scratch everything else. Including their mouthwatering sourdough breads, which you can still pick up from the porch. The owners are beyond awesome. My first visit well before all the beautiful renovations done, Kevin lifted my wheelchair over the threshold so I could come in the shop. And during this time where things are so uncertain they are giving, donating food to their community

Whether you are visiting Hico or just passing through, you definitely want to make your way over to Two Clay Birds! Fresh, seasonal produce grown by local farmers, honey, small batch preserves and pickled veggies, unique artifacts, and the best baked goods on the planet! The cinnamon rolls are the best I’ve ever put in my mouth! Their daily lunches are made in house, from scratch. Don’t tell them I told you, but the secret ingredient is love. 🤫 You may walk in as a first time customer, but when you walk out of this family business, you will have made new friends & will return every chance

My sister and I stopped in on our way back to Houston from Stephenville in search of local honey. We stumbled upon a gem with this quaint little store and restaurant. The owners and two of their son's that were working that day were so pleasant and welcoming and a wealth of knowledge. We went in for honey and came out with so much more! We bought bread and butter squash/pickles, 2 different kinds of cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies, chicken pot pie hand pies and my absolute favorite, pecan sourdough bread. I cannot express enough how amazingly delicious this bread is, I ate 3/4 of the loaf

Super kind staff and lots of character to the seating! Came here to drop off sons dog so came for the outdoor seating. But the food blew us away.
Chicken salad with pimento spread on homemade sourdough-pecan bread grilled was the best!
My husband had the meatloaf grilled sandwich and was very pleased. Our lunch came with the best soup with tomato base and multiple fresh veggies topped with shredded cheese-really phenomenal.
Dessert was included in the super inexpensive lunch so we ate this crazy great sweet potato pecan pie!
Tea was included and we will be back!
Cute gift shop too with homemade preserves

Wow! We finally got a chance to take the bike out & go try this little spot... what a gem! Imaginative dishes made with the freshest ingredients that were spot on with flavor, homemade breads & cinnamon rolls, fresh teas & lemonades. And... farm fresh veggies, salsas, and sauces for sale in their market! Great folks make you feel right at home... can't wait to go again! Well done!

This is our absolute favorite place for lunch around the Stephenville area. The owners Kevin & Holly are the nicest folks and their children who help out are so kind! Every weekend is a different lunch Kevin makes with seasonal produce and it's always delicious!! It's such a comforting environment and feels like you've visited a family members house for lunch. He is a fantastic cook!! Everything is fresh & SO good!! Opened Friday-Monday for lunch! I'm so so so thankful to have such an amazing, charming lunch spot! Make sure to get some coffee too! Their son started Hico

This place was so quaint and amiable! I picked up some organic loose tea leaves and some miniature pots to plant some small succulents in. The produce looked amazing and the fresh rolls with grilled onion on top were absolutely heavenly-- the best rolls I've ever had! I've been meaning to come back for more but I live too far away. It's a great family owned business and I highly recommend stopping if you're driving through the Hico area!!!
