In 2006, Attorney Jody Fisher started her own firm located in Leesburg, Florida. After working at the State Attorney's Office, Jody was able to easily transition to private practice specializing in criminal defense and family law, where she takes a hands-on approach with all her clients. Our firm is small enough to care but experienced enough to vigorously represent your interests.
Leesburg attorney Jody L. Fisher was born and raised in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and found her way to Florida in 1999 to attend law school. She has been practicing law since 2002 when she started her career as a prosecutor with the Fifth Judicial State Attorney's Office in Marion County.
From there, Jody transferred closer to home in the Sumter County State Attorney's Office working in the juvenile, misdemeanor, and felony divisions where she successfully prosecuted hundreds of cases.In 2006, Jody started her own firm located in Leesburg, Florida. Completely blew my husband's case and put over $5000 down the drain by filing the wrong paper work REPEATEDLY. Jody failed to file a modification petition for custody with our emergency order and didn't request enough time for our case to be heard causing the emergency order to be dismissed. Then she served our respondent the WRONG PAPERWORK when she finally filed the petition. They served her redacted paperwork and our respondent's attorney was able to have the service quashed. To make it worse she failed to put in an address change we filled out (and she charged us for), so the respondent was

This law office is amazing! Ms. Fisher was so caring regarding my son's child support case. She guided us through the process and has given him a new lease on life since he is no longer has an enormous amount of back support to pay. The staff was courteous and helpful every step of the way. Even in court when the judge was being rude, she maintained her professional demeanor and "stuck to her guns". Working with her was a real blessing for us.

Jody did an outstanding job in helping me through a very difficult time. She calmed me down when things got crazy and responded to my questions quickly. She provided me with options and suggestions on how to deal with the situation and basically held my hand while we worked through it. Once you sign the contract she's earned your money. I have never received an invoice for the work she said was done. My case was never filed because I didn't trust her. I only spoke to her 2 times both asking for proof of what she had done. Months later still nothing. Hope shes enjoying my $5000 dollars.

Recently I had to use the services of Ms. Fisher to settle an outstanding divorce order from Ca. from over 30 years ago. With me currently residing in Florida it presented some logistical and timing challenges. Ms. Fisher steered me through all the legal aspects and was able to attain a settlement suitable to the Ca. court system. She kept me informed every step of the way. Do not waste your time with and money on this attorney.
Jody Fisher is rude, unhelpful, and lacks compassion.
Every time I tried to reach her regarding my case, my concerns were relegated to the assistants.
Not to mention, I had to do my own research because it seemed Fisher did not really understand anything.
Please, save yourself a headache.
