If you've been struggling to find a holistic approach beyond what your gynecologist can offer. If you are a new patient you are welcome to schedule with her at her current clinic location (Paracelsus in Pasadena) and you can transfer your care to her telehealth platform in January. Your gynecologist will typically offer you two main courses of treatment: hormonal birth control and pharmaceuticals.

Sometimes, these totally work! And sometimes, they sort of work, but not for everything (i.e., they ease your heavy flow and cramps but do nothing for your brain fog, depression, and anxiety). And sometimes they cause more problems than they cure. The point is, there is a wealth of additional treatment options to explore.
Services
Give you time to explain the whole story-without making you repeat it a hundred times to a bunch of specialists who don't talk to each other. Searching for the right doctor can often feel like stepping smack into the middle of a 'conventional vs. natural' battle royale. You might lean one way or the other-but these are two extremes, at opposite ends of the spectrum.
Naturopathic Doctors (NDs), also referred to as Naturopathic Medical Doctors (NMD), offer a unique blend of training in conventional medicine and natural therapeutics. NDs attend federally-accredited four year post-graduate level medical schools and are trained in the same medical sciences as Medical Doctors (MDs).
Most MD's are not trained in the intricacies of the female hormonal system, or how external factors like diet, lifestyle, and stress can impact its delicate balance. When you approach your PCP and/or gynecologist with health issues like anxiety and depression, brain fog, insomnia, or any sort of menstrual complications, they often offer limited answers (if any), and undesirable long-term "solutions."
We loved having Dr. Norris as our family doctor. As new parents she put us at ease with her calm and caring approach to our son's health. Whatever concern we had, whether it was his first bout of croup or a weird rash, she was always knowledgeable and offered helpful solutions and peace of mind. She offers a practical mix of traditional western and naturopathic solutions and drew on a range of tools to address our family's health needs.
For a doctor to spend so much time with their patients, considering multiple aspects of their health, is rare these days. Dr. Norris looks at you as a whole person rather than a collection of symptoms, taking great care and time to understand your lifestyle, health habits, and emotional wellbeing.

Dr Sara is really wonderful. She helped balance my hormones while breastfeeding as well as sorted me nutritionally through getting pregnant, miscarrying and then getting pregnant again. She is a great resource and a wealth of information.

Sara Norris has been a part of mine and my children's lives since June of 2014. Since then, she has educated us all on ways of treating our bodies in ways that fight off illness more naturally, as opposed to turning to medicine at the sign of every symptom. She knows us and our children very well, and is always there to help and provide advice.

Sara is a phenomenal doctor, and I feel very lucky that we ran into her, and had the pleasure of being her patients.

Best of luck Sara! Enjoy California for me!!!

Everyone at MountainView are so friendly! I'm used to assembly line medicine for primary care where the nurse just rooms you, squeezes your arm (aka vitals), and you're left alone until the doc makes his 2 minute visit where most of the time they're looking at their computer screen, at the ready to write prescriptions for any symptom.

I can honestly say you'll never have that experience with MountainView, their doctors do all the work from vitals to 30-45 minute consultations, originally scheduled for only 30 minutes. They like to focus on the problem causing the symptoms rather

I've been seeing Dr. Norris for about 6 months now after repeated visits to conventional medical services (over a year and a half) failed to address my recurrent yeast infections, weird periods and chronic pain from interstitial cystitis.

Dr. Norris has gone above and beyond, being willing to answer my frequent questions by email and helping me figure out affordable treatments. My chronic pain is now under control with the regimen of herbs and vitamins she prescribed me and she's working with me to address the yeast infections/hormone imbalance.

Dr. Norris has a strong knowledge of

Oh, Dr. Knuth....what can I say that hasn't already been said.
After the birth of my 2nd child I started suffering from eczema. HORRIBLE pain on my arms, constant itching which developed into a staph infection. I went to see my primary care doctor (lovely person), and was put on steroids and antibiotics (to cure the infection).....3 times over the course of 9 months. This is the last thing I wanted to be doing as a nursing mama. Needless to say that the medical route didn't help me.
I went to go see Dr. Knuth as an alternative.
Whew.
She listened to me, took the time to ask me questions

I was suffering with what one of the East Bay's 'best' dermatologists called 'eczema'. there were painful sores and lumps on my palms, and I work with my hands. I was told no-one knows where it comes from, that there is an epidemic and that there is no cure - just to take steroids and smear commercial petroleum cream on. Suffer forever, basically, and pay the bill. This was determined in a 10 minute visit.

So, I turned to naturopathy, having had some success there in Europe in the past. I sought Dr. Knuth's help, having read good things about her on the internet

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Knuth. I was feeling so hopeless after several visits to regular doctors brought me no solid answers about my sudden hair loss. Coming to her was the best thing I ever did. She was professional and comforting and did the tests that needed to be done to finally get answers. Then, she set up a plan to get me on the track to getting better. Very affordable and very worth it. Thank you Dr K!
