Hi, I'm Lana and I'm a portrait photographer here in Los Angeles. I shoot mostly in natural light and I specialize in headshots, editorial and fashion photography, family and children portraiture, engagement, maternity and boudoir. Photography has been my passion ever since I was a little girl. I was born in Baku, Azerbaijan and spent the first 12 years of my life there.
The next 12 years I spent growing up in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, until moving to Los Angeles in 2004. Services
Q: What are your prices? My rates are extremely reasonable. I want you to be able to enjoy your photos and not have to worry about paying an arm and a leg for them. Q: Do you have a studio? I do not have a studio and majority of my photos are taken outside on location. 99% of the time I use natural light only.
Includes 1-2 hours of photography at the location of your choice, time and talent of the photographer, the editing of approximately 30-40 portraits presented on a disc in high resolution. Within 2-3 weeks of your session, you will be able to view the photos from your session in an online gallery. If you wish to order prints you may do so via the online gallery.

I purchased a session with Lana through Living Social, in order to get a family picture taken. The session went great! My husband and I have a 2 year old son and she was able to help him focus back on the camera (which can be very challenging!). Her style is very casual and fluid, not rigid or posed. Its current, and lovely. I was so pleased with the proofs that I had a hard time choosing which photos to print! I would highly recommend.

Lana was wonderful when I had my photo shoot with her. I got a Living Social deal for an hour photo-shoot, which included an 8x10 print and a CD of all of the proofs. When I originally emailed her, I was fairly vague with what I wanted - this was a Christmas present to myself, and I knew what type of "feel" that I wanted in terms of atmosphere, but I didn't know what locations would be ideal, since I had just moved to the area. She was extremely helpful in picking a location, and she was prompt when emailing me back with answers to my many questions.

Lana was flexible with her time and absolutely delivered the goods!! I haven't been this happy with a headshot of myself in a very long time.
She felt like an ol' friend and I was quickly comfortable and able to follow her direction... I'd shoot again with her in a heartbeat. Actually.. I hope to have her shoot my twins!!!

Lana Kats was our wedding photographer too :) If there were an ability to give more than 5-stars, I'd surely do so. Lana - a good humored and easy-to-work with professional. Her timing is impeccable, her angles are astounding, her direction - even I can follow... the resulting photos are absolutely fantastic. This is definetly who you want to go too if you want outstanding photos of the special moments in your life. Lana took our maternity photos and has since done photos of our son from birth up until now. I can't wait to book her for his 1 year photos! These are the type of photos that everyone comments on and asks who did those. She is a true pleasure to work with and very creative. Great at all types of photography!
