A perfect place to stop before an early morning hike at Crater Lake. We loved the walk to the little river out back, the covered private carport, the gas fireplace, and the kitchenette. We were able to grab all the ingredients for a lovely dinner at the well-stocked attached grocery store.

This is a gem. Close to crater lake ,very clean, great to have a little kitchen and refrigerator, and owners are great! They have movies for you to watch and a nice stream to walk to in the evening. Wish we had stayed there more nights instead or going up to the Crater lodge which was not worth it!!!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Jo's to be near the Crater Lake park. The room reminded us of a Cape Cod cottage, only cleaner and better equipped to prep our own meals from the fresh, well-stocked grocery. There are no other eateries nearby. Our room had a very cozy gas heater to keep the chill out too!
Smokey air forced us to shorten our stay, and Robin & Jim were very gracious to refund our last night. They are both very nice to deal with. Thank you both.

Just stopped in for some groceries. Great atmosphere, cute place and absolutely outstanding customer service. Jo will go above and beyond to help you find what you're looking for. Good selection of healthy and organic food. There's fresh produce as well as frozen and shelf stable staple items.

The best place ever!! me and my husband were on our way to go camping at crater lake. we found out we couldn’t camp there so went on a hunt to find a place. we found this place and boy oh boy did we find a hidden gem! we were helped by the nicest man ever. he was so helpful and sweet!! the camp grounds are gorgeous and loved being by the wood river. only complaint is that it was colder than we had expected but it was so nice and quite!! the bathrooms were always kept clean and we loved talking to him and his wife. they are as sweet as can be and will help you find with whatever! definitely would

Great mom and pop motel! Well worth the price tag just on customer service, cleanliness, and comfort alone. Place came with it's own car port, fully-functional (albeit small) kitchen, heating and hot water, and a TV (no cable but the owners have a selection of DVDs for visitors to borrow). The owners also run a small shop with all-natural food essentials (meats, produce, dairy, canned items, etc) which is very handy as it is in an isolated location. Very quiet area, low light pollution and there are even options for RVs and camping. The owners were nice enough to even provide us with a starter

Look at the bad reviews here. As absurd and implausible as they sound in this day and age, they are accurate. I echo what many have said...these people should not be in the hospitality business! I consider myself lucky to have not actually stayed there. I was refused lodging because I made the mistake of mentioning that I had friends staying in another place nearby that, at the time, was full. They said it was against their policy to accept anyone that belonged to a group that wasn't all staying at their place. They were convinced that I would bring my friends over to lounge in their superior environment

Let me preface this review by saying we DID NOT stay here.
We didn’t stay for two reasons – 1. The owner was excessively rude and 2. We had kids. Kids - kids need to go to the restroom on a long road trip. The owner wouldn’t even consider letting us use the restroom, until we purchased something from the mini-mart. 1 bathroom visit = $5, 2 visits = $10. We couldn’t even get to the part about renting a room, because he was so adamant that we buy something from his store first.
I get that he is not running a public restroom. I get that restrooms aren’t free. Fine, charge $2, or whatever

What a treat! We were on our last day of camping and running low on food. We have chosen to eat 100% organic which means we can almost never eat out, and finding ANYTHING we can eat in a small town is generally impossible. But we saw a sign for organic espresso and couldn’t resist. We were quite surprised to find an entire mini store, everything in which, we could eat! And, despite what others have said, I found it all to be very fairly priced, especially considering the quality and how far out they are located. You can tell they put a lot of care into curating the store. The owners were very

We were on vacation, with no reservations anywhere. Fun way to go - until you can't find a place to camp! Lucked upon Jo's Motel and Campground. Our experience was pleasant, but we did not interact much with the owners, (who have been described in great detail in other reviews here as being less than friendly), other than check-in, check-out and coffee orders. We experienced friendliness, comfortable camping accomodations, and met a couple from Germany who were great campfire companions. We liked it a lot, and would go back. Our morning espressos, made by the owner, were delicious!
