MJB Custom Woodworking LLC is a small family-owned business, specializing in fine custom cabinets, furniture and interior woodwork. We also specialize in fine finishes such as stain, lacquer, dye stains and glazing. The misconception of small shops is that our prices are not as competitive as the large stores such as Lowes or Home Depot.
All our cabinets are built with 3/4 inch sides, 3/4 inch nailers and 1/4 inch back. Compare that with store bought cabinets that have 1/2 inch sides, 1/2 inch nailers and 1/8 inch back. A large part of our business is retrofitting older kitchens with the latest storage options. The sky is the limit for door styles and finish.
Cabinets are just part of what we do. We offer a full array of interior finish from hanging doors to base and case, stair railings, beam ceilings, library paneling, and custom closets. All our door and window trims are prebuilt in our shop, saving time on the job site. We can be making trims while your house is being dry walled, easily saving two weeks on your schedule.
Refacing is a good option if your basic cabinet structure is sound or you do not want to disturb existing counter tops and plumbing. You can get a new kitchen look for less than 1/2 the price of new. We can also retrofit all the latest storage options. We prefinish in our shop so most on site installation is only a couple of days easing the stress of a 2 month kitchen remodel.
When you are looking for something that is not available at the furniture store or is a one-of a kind piece, we can make it for you. We build dining tables, end tables, desks, bed frames, dressers, bookcases and freestanding bars to name a few things. Complete Custom Closet.
Our every whim. He quoted the project an even with multiple add-ons, and the whole project 'fluid', he never charged us an extra dime. Well he did, but that was random stuff I asked him to do as he is a master carpenter and trim man:)
