Bridging the worlds of psychology, creativity and the healing science of quantum physics, Creative Sanctuary with Ed Regensburg provides compassionate and effective psychotherapy for you. Ed will utilize special techniques of mindfulness and imagery developed over decades that connect you to your creative, spiritual self.

Reducing anxiety and alleviating depression require accurate identification of issues. Creative Sanctuary will seamlessly integrate this information with analytic understanding in order to find insights and facilitate healing of the root emotions, thoughts and perceptions that cause distress, moods and behaviors.
Services
For some, this creative spirit gets lost or suppressed during life's journey - whether by the stress of everyday circumstances, developmental challenges, or mental health issues. In our current world, we see a growing dependency on technology and a resulting sense of alienation. Our Creative Sanctuary has disintegrated, and without its support and sustenance, we feel anxious and lost.
I am trained in Analytic Psychotherapy, Licensed in New York State, and hold Board Certification as a Clinical Art Therapist (ATR-BC, LCAT) and a pioneer in the field of clinical art psychotherapy. My career has been a pursuit of integrated alternative approaches that embrace creativity and spirituality in order to conceptualize and deliver effective mental health services.
Adult Therapy helps explore and improve emotional, and behavioral functioning. I provide adult therapy and psychotherapy, including individuals with special needs. My unique approach utilizes both verbal and creative arts techniques. This combination is particularly effective with people struggling with anxiety, depression, self esteem, socialization, focus and concentration.
I provide Psychotherapy for Children including individuals with special needs (trauma, autism, PDD). Additionally I have a specialty working with children experiencing issues related to adoption, divorce and grief. My unique approach utilizes both verbal and creative arts techniques. This combination is particularly effective with people struggling with anxiety, depression, self esteem, socialization, focus and concentration.
Most of us have heard the term "Special Needs", often as describing children, but also adults. There are many different conditions that an adult or child may have in order to fall into the category of "special needs." Adults and children with these conditions have difficulty functioning in ways considered typical.

Ed at Creative Sanctuary is a GREAT art therapist on Long Island and one extremely talented artist. I am currently reading one of his books The Quantum Correlations of Imagery and can't put it down.

Creative Sanctuary really opened my eyes to psychotherapy actually helping the ups and downs of life. My family has been looking for a Long Island psychotherapist for a while now, and when we found Ed we couldn't be happier. He's a pretty great artist as well!
