Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) was developed and tested with individuals presenting with a wide range of comorbid disorders and complicated trauma histories. It is an adaptation of the evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) used to help people explore recovery from the impact of Trauma exposure.
Broadhollow Psychotherapy helps create Trauma-Informed environments in schools, behavioral health, primary care organizations, community agencies, and other public and private systems. The idea behind "trauma-informed" services is pretty simple: When the care we provide is informed by a basic knowledge of how traumatic experiences and traumatic stress may impact the people we are serving and working it, many things are likely to turn out better.
Trauma has widespread impacts, leading to or exacerbating mental illness, substance use and physical health conditions. Despite best efforts, the very systems designed to help people become healthy can be re-traumatizing.

Broadhollow Psychotherapy PLLC can help community behavioral health organizations, government systems, schools, primary care clinics, social services and law enforcement, develop and operationalize plans for becoming trauma-informed.For more information on pricing, tailoring a consultation service or to schedule a training please call us today.

Really wanted to get an appointment to start therapy. Called, left messages, filled up the paperwork online and sent it back same day it was sent. No one followed up with me to make an appointment. It like you have to beg them to become a client/patient. Don’t waste your time here.

I have tried unsuccessfully to schedule an appointment with the therapists at this office for a long time. At first, no one was picking up or returning my messages. I finally got in touch with a receptionist by the name of Virginia. She answered the phone as if I was bothering her and refused to give me an appointment until I called my insurance company to verify I was covered. This was after I told her repeatedly that I have good coverage and not to worry. She said I had to call and she would call me back. Of course she never did. Three weeks later when I finally got a hold of her again after

The only reason I am leaving two stars is because for the two times that I did sit with Dr. Sherri Best, I learned some techniques and breathing exercises that I will definitely be using for years to come during my stressful periods. HOWEVER! Whoever is on the contact committee needs to be fired or re-examined. It is like pulling teeth to get in contact with anyone at this office. Dr. Sherri gave me a business card with multiple numbers and emails, I have sent multiple inquiries via text, email and voicemail and have yet to receive a response. Our scheduled meet up was set for Tuesdays at 7 PM
