I moved here from Canada as a youth with my family. We settled in Montgomery County and I've spent most of my life here. My father is from Greece and my mother was Scottish from Nova Scotia. I grew up working in my dad's D.C. restaurant where I learned a great deal about customer service and many other things (I love to cook).
I graduated from J.F. Kennedy HS in Glenmont, Control Data Institute in Arlington, VA, and I got my BSBA from Columbia Union College (now Washington Adventist University) in Takoma Park. I had a career in technology with IBM and CPT corporations before going to University of MD Law School. I practiced law for a few years before joining State Farm in 1997.

I have done business with this agency for over 20 years and have always received excellent service from all staff including Mr. Vassilas himself. In this instance I would like to distinguish Bonnie Wexler who recently went above and well beyond in resolving a somewhat thorny issue in a timely and professional manner. In a time where good customer service is difficult to find, Bonnie distinguished herself with excellence. She and the Vassilas agency get my highest recommendation.

Over the past 50 years I have had many auto insurance agents. George Vassilas is the best one I have ever seen or heard about. He is personally attentive to the needs of his clients and involved in the follow-through for problem solving. He answers the phone and he get engaged. He checks back. I have known George for many years and have experienced his love and devotion for his customers. I have seen him firsthand deal with situations on his own, not pass it on to someone else and even give his clients his oen personal cell phone number. Who does this??? George Vassilas. I've been doing business with George and his team for about twelve years. He and his office do a wonderful job. He's one of the few insurance agents I've ever encountered who gives his clients his cell phone number. George is kind of an insurance 'guru' who loves to help protect his clients by 'right-sizing' their insurance. Another thing I love about working with this office is that George and his team will meet clients at home or office or Starbucks. I love this kind of customer service.

My family and I have been with the State farm office for 34 years both with the prior owner and with George when he bought the practice. George provides stellar service and always gets back to me when he is contacted. I have done business with George Vassilas' State Farm agency for nearly 15 years and the agency has provided policies covering for my home, cars, and business. When it comes to insurance, George knows it like the back of his hand.
