We provide full-spectrum senior care with a holistic approach. Our devoted team of caregivers and specialists are committed to providing one-on-one, personalized care in a warm and supportive environment, and our highly skilled staff ensures that our residents receive the best care in the country. I would like to thank Mary Wade for the care Mom receives there.
It is given with skill, compassion and friendliness. The nursing staff is most attentive and thorough in recognizing any signs of illness, infection or injury. We appreciate their policy of calling us to keep us up to date on any issues with. Mom, as they arise. The aides have also been attentive and kind.

Services
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the establishment of "The Home for the Friendless, " - a shelter for homeless or pregnant young women in need of support and guidance. The mission statement at the time stays true into today - to provide a friendly, home-like atmosphere to individuals in need of either temporary or permanent housing.
The Mary Wade Home provides the highest quality services across a broad spectrum of programs to residents on our campus and throughout the Greater New Haven community. We strive to promote holistic wellness, enhance individual abilities, provide compassionate care and embrace innovative solutions that improve the quality of life for everyone we serve.
David V. Hunter is the President & CEO of Mary Wade and its subsidiaries, and his years of service began in 1981. He has led the expansion of Mary Wade's Home & Community Based Services including, Outpatient Rehabilitation, Adult Day Health Center, Primary Care Office and Transportation Services.
The Adult Day Center (ADC) offers two programs of care and support for seniors with Alzheimer's or dementia. I received a call first thing in the morning the day after I sent an email at midnight!!!!. They were absolutely terrific. I was trying to get a ride for my 91 year-old mother-in-law to get her covid vaccine. Nobody wanted to take her to either a vaccine location or testing location. They were the only ones that came forward. They were prompt, courteous and absolutely fabulous through the whole experience. Deb and Dave were great...phew thank God for Mary Wade.

Nope. Never again. Unpleasant staff. Very demeaning social worker, and the supervisors....forget it. The day my mom was admitted, they had no paperwork for her to sign about her items she brought with her or anything, and arrived by 4pm. The hospital referred them for their respiratory program of which my mom NEEDED and NEVER received. They gave her a lousy week of therapy and then made her do everything on her own. Finally, they lost a few of my moms clothing and refused to try to find them.....after 3 damn weeks. Then when I requested reimbursement, they said to talk to administration. Terrible

As a care manager, I had a client living in Mary Wade for memory care for 6 months before she passed. I visited frequently during that time and witnessed how attentive, compassionate and playful the staff were to the patients. She was kept clean, comfortable, and dignified all while receiving every level of necessary care including hospice services.
The staff at Mary Wade were wonderful! I would absolutely recommend this facility to families needing memory care for their loved one!

Mary Wade took excellent care of my Aunt over the last 5 months of her life. The staff is caring, committed, and communicated extremely well with us throughout this difficult experience. Highly professional and sensitive team that interfaced with Hospice very smoothly as well. Every aspect of our experience made us feel we made the right choice for my Aunt's care. 5 stars.

I stayed at Mary Wade after my hip replacement operation. I was able to take advantage of the PT before I went home. I was at Mary Wade for five nights. I found everyone who worked there was helpful, cheery and caring. The most surprising to me was how good the food was. I expected to get hospital food, but was delighted with the variety and taste. I recommend Mary Wade to anyone I know who might need either short term rehab or long term care. Thank you Mary Wade.

Absolutely stay away from Mary Wade. Family member arrived healthy though needed help walking and PT. Due to distance, no visitors initially, however she contracted cdiff, mrsa and pink eye though never left the room (meals and PT came to her room). Meaning the staff had to pass it on to the patient. The place is filthy and smells. The staff is unresponsive to patients and family. Repeated calls and visits yielded no changes and continued neglect of patients. Patients were left in their beds for days without being changed or cleaned. Worst nursing facility I have ever seen.

My father was at Mary Wade for months and we had multiple incidents that put his health and life in jeopardy. The overnight nurse staff belittled my father and disregarded his health on numerous occasions. I had to call the ambulance multiple times from which he was admitted and held for a period of times, and they were all because of things that were neglected from his health at Mary Wade.
Molly, the social worker, is unhelpful and patronizing. She didn't return phone calls or let me know about important meetings that regarded my father and decisions in his care. This is particularly bad
