Scott McClure, the Owner at St. Paul Automotive, has worked here since the young age of 14. He started sweeping floors and just kept going from there. He bought Olson's Service in 1998 at the age of 30 and renamed it St. Paul Automotive. In 2004 he started the process of building the shop that we are in today.

Scott really went above and beyond to help me. I had a slashed tire and carried it all the way from mcalaster to their business where he was prompt in replacing it. There was also a lovely lady named Georgina who works there and she gave me a ride home so I wouldn't have to walk with the tire another 45 mins back home.
Thank you so much for what y'all did for me today. I will tell everyone I know about y'all and recommend y'all whenever I can.

Scott the owner and Wendy are both great people. We brought our Subaru Forester there recently to have some major work done. He made sure to call me ahead of time and explain everything and made sure I was crystal clear on everything they were recommending and why. On top of that, they finished the car in a reasonably short amount of time and their prices were very reasonable. Our car is running smoothly and we are super happy with the work that was done and found them to have a lot of integrity. We will definitely be using them going forward.

The folks at St. Paul Automotive have now saved me on two minor car emergencies. After years of getting sub-par service at Chevy dealerships I’m really happy to have found a local shop I trust with my car. I am a young woman with limited car knowledge and Scott and his team always answer my questions with respect, honesty, and practical knowledge and advice, which I really appreciate. I rarely review businesses but I wanted to give them a shoutout! Highly recommend.

I brought my car in for a different service (new CV axle) which they didn't think the car actually needed. I hope they're right, but I don't have much faith in their diagnosis as the sound of a worn out CV joint while driving my car is obvious. Anyway, while the car was at St. Paul Automotive they recommended having the front brakes replaced as they were close to worn out. I agreed. They charged $183 for the rotors and pads. These exact Raybestos rotors and pads are available to the public for as low as $53. I know shops get better rates on parts than the public. So, why are theirs so expensive

This place is amazing! I never have to worry about the quality or the necessity of the recommended work. Very honest, very dependable shop. If you know cars well but the new ones are over your head a bit then this is the place for you. If you don't know a damn thing about cars at all, this is the place for you.

I'm very grateful that Scott has the knowledge he does about vehicles! A chain shop working on my vehicle may have cost me a new engine. I run my business from my vehicle and they got me back on the road in 1/2 a day thanks to Wendy being in top of ordering the right parts immediately after I called. Amazing!!!
