I have a hard time believing there is any jeweler in this area better than Tor and Nupens. My family has been coming to the store since I was a kid and it’s no wonder why. Tor is a great guy and is incredibly talented to boot. Nupens holds a particularly special place with me now because Tor worked with my husband to custom design my perfect engagement ring and wedding band, along with working on my husband’s wedding band that was passed down from his Grandad. We love getting to come into the shop and see Tor and we’ll most definitely be customers for life.

Came in to get my engagement ring cleaned and replated for my wedding day. it turned out absolutely gorgeous and he recommended a great lunch spot to us while he was working on my ring. will definitely be returning for future jewelry needs!

I had a little trouble with a jewelry project I was trying to complete across three jewelers over the course of the last year(crazy I know). Tor recommended a course of action that was inexpensive but classy and right on target. I now have a beautiful 18 k white gold cross with a bale that was re-worked to bring it more to scale. Also, I've wanted a white gold 18K chain to go with it- but somehow this seems to be a very difficult feat to accomplish. I took a diamond and sapphire anniversary band to them years ago to have a sapphire replaced that had been lost. After picking the ring up and taking it home, my husband looked at it with a loop only to find that they had used a very poor quality stone. We took it back, and iThey replaced it with a better stone. The workmanship was fine, but I lost trust in them. I haven’t been back since.

Tor redesigned my wedding ring for me and it turned out better than I could have hoped! The Nupen family has designed jewelry for my family for decades and has always done an amazing job!!

I had a jeweler combine two channel set diamond and emerald rings into one ring a few years ago. I chose this jeweler because he is a family friend. I was unhappy with how the ring turned out since he didn't create the look that I wanted. I tried to live with it, but quit wearing it because I was not happy. I read the great reviews of Tor at Nupen Jewelers and decided to have him re-do my ring. He listened to what I wanted, made a wax version for me to try and it turned out beautifully! And his price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Tor!

Tor is wonderful! I wanted a pewter pin re-plated with gold. He doesn't do that and provided me with an alternative that reused gold I already had. Other jewelers had quoted me outrageous prices. He was helpful, friendly, and I will recommend him to everyone. I am more than pleased with my favorite piece of jewelry that I wear EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Tor is great! Fantastic service, great turn around time and is a trusted adviser. I know he will always be a straight shooter when it comes to the information he is giving me. Tor made a custom pendant for my wife which blew her socks off! The photos attached do not do this piece justice, the way he set all of the stones and the stones he used dance in the light.
He also help me get a Vintage dive watch as well as a vintage Longines serviced and working again. Both of these watches are from the 1960s and he was able to get parts and service done. Both have turned out great and both keep amazing

I had just gotten engaged last week and because my ring was too loose I was referred to Tor by my soon-to-be in-laws to get it resized. I brought it in on Wednesday and got it back the same day. Unfortunately it was still looser than I'd like, so I went back again today to get resized. To my surprise, Tor did not charge me extra for the 2nd re-sizing. He was helpful and patient while I tried on the different sizes. I was able to pick it up 2 hours after I dropped it off. Definitely recommend!

This is an update to my 8 year old review. Nupen continues to provide exceptionally professional and beautiful work. All the employees are always friendly, compassionate, and educated in their craft.

I walked in looking to have a ring sized yesturday. Not only was Tor extremely knowledgeable in answering my questions, but he also completed the job in my limited time window. Keep in mind, their abilities far surpass simple ring sizing. Display cases full of custom pieces designed in house always catch my eye. Got my ring re-sized here the other day. They were super helpful, able to re-size the ring the same day, and charged me less than half of what I paid at another place to get it re-sized before. I will be coming back here if I ever need a ring re-sized again! The ring fits perfect now.

I went here with my fiancé on the recommendation of four different friends who bought their engagement rings here. He made it SO easy for us. We went in and told him what we wanted and what our budget was and he just got it done. We did not go a single cent over budget. He did not try to oversell us or sell anything extra. These guys are great and 110% professional! I went in with a ring that was sized 6.5 and needed to be reduced to 3.75. Not only that, i needed the ring same day!

Other places needed several days and/or would charge over $100! These guys said they can size any rings within 2 hours and only charged me $42!

They've been open for over 50 years and they don't advertise; all from word of mouth. Primo, wouldn't recommend anywhere else!

Another beautiful job from Nupen! I brought in my old engagement ring with mother's old setting that was collecting dust and Tor worked a miracle, converting my two stone ring into a three stone to my exact specifications. I couldn't be happier and am looking forward to our next "project"!

My family went to Nupen for decades, literally. We started going to them when they were still inside Fair Oaks Mall, next to Woodward and Lorthrop's. My mother would hold off on getting her jewelry fixed until we were back in the area (I grew up abroad), since we trusted them so completely. Amazing, small business, family owned gem! (Pun intended) Over the summer, I found an old watch of late father and it wasn't working. Not having many family heirlooms, this watch is very special to me. I brought it to nupen and the owner Thor treated it as if it were an heirloom of his family's. He fixed the watch for me, replacing parts a few times at no extra charge. I really appreciate the time he took to help me care for this small piece of my dad. It made a big difference in my day, and everyday I wear it.

My wife's necklace broke and I took it in. Charged me a decent price. Wife picked it up. I got off work came home and saw what they did and was disgusted with they're work. All they did was melt the chains together. It was a small chain but who ever made it linked the loops together and why couldn't this store do the same thing? They don't have the tools or what they should've just told me they couldn't do it, and now I feel like they just wanted the money. Thanks for nothing but a ball of melted metal in the middle of the chain. Looks really bad.

Nupen Jewelers is my go to place for all jewelry issues. I received a blue topaz ring for Christmas but needed to get it sized. Since it was Christmas Eve I knew it would have to wait until next week, and I really wanted to wear it for my Christmas gathering. Well, when I went in the very helpful man said he would have it sized in 2 hours. What?!?! It was ready when I returned and I couldn't have been happier!!!

He is also great at watch bands and batteries, jewelry repairs, and many other things!! I trust them with all my jewelry!!

Wow, I wish more businesses were as good as Nupen Jewelers. Everything about my experience with Tor has been top notch and exceeded my expectations. Nupen Jewelers designed my fiancee's engagement ring from scratch, repaired a bunch of old jewelry and cleaned it to make it look new, and replaced multiple watch batteries so that we can actually wear them now. All in the promised time frame and for very reasonable costs (lower than the jeweler more convenient to our home in Arlington).
