Had an amazing New Years weekend. The check in was seamless as was the check out. The place was everything we needed to have a memorable and relaxing weekend. Super romantic…wink wink. The place comes with a golf cart so we were able to go to the local Von’s and avoid the crowds due to COVID. We also toured the island and had a lot of fun checking out the downtown area and grabbing great shots everywhere we went. Definitely recommend! Don’t hesitate. Just do it.

Hamilton Cove Unit H234, managed by Catalina Island Vacation Rentals
I have vacationed at Hamilton Cove villas for at least 10 consecutive years and I have never been so disappointed. I called the management company, Catalina Island Vacation Rentals, 3 times to request more towels. There were 6 towel sets for 4 people who were staying for 11 days; each time I called they assured me they were going to send more towels. I finally received towels after I went to the office on the 5th day with a not so nice attitude. They also refused to give us more toilet paper; stating that they put enough toilet

Catalina Island Vacation rentals handles Hamilton Cove unit H234. The unit is not well maintained or well cleaned. Dishes, furniture and windows were chipped and cracked. Door knobs did not work well. A “clean” kitchen towel smelled like mildew. We called for additional bath towels after we were given 4 sets for 4 people on an eleven day stay. They responded ok we’ll bring them. After 3 days we went to office to complain and were told oh you should have had 12. No one ever said that on the phone. The internet went out during middle of stay because owner did not pay bill. I have stayed in

I do not recommend this company. I rented the house on 339 Claressa for 2 nights. One the second day, the shower door completely shattered for no apparent reason (probably poor installation) while my daughter's friend was taking a shower. Luckily she only had superficial cuts, but it was very stressful and it could have been a terrible tragedy. I requested a refund for the second night (50% of the rental since this incident ruined our entire second day and my daughter's friend had to leave), but they denied it and gave me only 15% back. I will never rent from this company again, as I do not believe

Catalina Island is a gem of a location - somehow we are having a lovely time as a family, despite the challenges we're facing at our unit.
We stayed at Hamilton Cove 1-80 via Catalina Island Vacation Rentals.
Pro - Location. 12 simple steps up to the unit with an incredible view and private deck.
Cons -
1. There is a known issue around Hamilton Cove right now. The fire alarms are sounding intermittently and flashing that there is an error with the batteries - we've heard it at many units. Ours goes off at 5pm and 2am. I've called the property management office numerous times - during the day

Booked a specific place, paid and signed a contract...30 days later we show up on the island and at 10am and get a call from Catalina Island Vacation Rentals that the place we rented is not available due to construction?!?! So they put us in different rental which we are not happy with, as the one we rented had large ocean view bay window and more updated decor, the one we were put in was cluttered with half the view/balcony of one we paid for, but they are insisting it’s an upgrade. Bonus is the bath tub does not have a stopper, water turns cold before filling up 1/2 way and black specs came

We asked for early check-in which we learned was contingent on the house cleaning and preparedness. We asked to be notified as soon as the house was ready; they definitely delivered. The floors were still wet when we walked in. The house was spotless. We had a few minor issues but the staff addressed them right away and responded promptly.

Catalina Island Vacation Rentals could drastically improve upon falsely claiming they will store luggage for early arrivals and late departures. Arriving to Catalina via the Flyer, guests must have a place to store their luggage for 5+ hours until their room is ready. Instead of helping guests find a solution, they insist we pay out of our own pockets a minimum of $50+ to another company to have our luggage stored for a mere few hours. I would think that a better solution could be found. During this time of Corona, flexibility and dependability are key to feeling safe while traveling. I am throughly
