Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes
In circa 1875 Wilhelm Konrad began a furniture business along with a Mr. Wolf. As a side business, Mr. Konrad operated a funeral parlor in a back room of the furniture store. In the cases of a funeral from decedent's home, the furniture store would provide chairs and arrange for the hiring of hacks (carriages) for the transportation of family and friends to the place of burial.

As our society changed from a rural to more and more urban the homes of most people became inadequate for funerals. The funeral home, as we now know it, evolved as an alternative home from which families could hold wake services for their loved ones. As public health and safety became more recognized, funeral homes became more and more specialized in the facilities and services that they offered.
Services
The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
After the funeral is over, a permanent memorial can provide family and friends with a dedicated place to continue their healing journey. The grieving process doesn't end when the funeral does. Oftentimes, the services are just the first steps to healing and recovery.

It can be hard for the bereaved to return to their regular routines so soon after the services are over, especially given the demands of the modern world and the limits that many employers place on allowed time for grieving.Creating a lasting tribute can give family and friends a permanent place to visit whan they need help feeling connected to the loved one who has passed.
Sometimes the thought of planning a funeral seems too difficult for those who've suffered a loss. We're here to help lighten your burden and remind you of the true value a ceremony can hold for you and your family. Coping with a loss is never easy, and services are an essential part of the recovery process.
When you first begin the process of designing a funeral, the decisions you'll face might seem overwhelming at first. We're here to help you tackle the choices one by one and make the journey one of love, healing, and life celebration.

The process can be broken down into two stages: decisions regarding the service and how you'd like to honor your loved one's life, and decisions regarding how you'd like to care for your loved one's physical remains.Whether it's formal or informal, traditional or offbeat, a funeral provides an opportunity for family and friends to gather and support one another in taking the first steps of their healing journey.
No matter how you choose to care for your loved one's physical remains, we pride ourselves on our ability to help you select from a variety of peaceful and picturesque settings for their final resting place.

Whether you prefer the calm serenity of a natural park or the stately grandeur of a mausoleum, our experts are here to understand your needs and concerns, answer your questions, and provide you with all of your options and the information you need to make an informed decision about your loved one's final resting place.Contact us to connect with our staff, ask questions or request more information about your options.

I can’t thank all of you enough, for the wonderful help you were during my Dad’s passing.
Matt was able to make our every wish happen and I don’t think we ever heard the word “no” from anyone.
In a time like this… you all surpassed my expectations. Thank you so very kindly for the loving care you took of my father.

I’ve been meaning to add a review since the passing of my husband in September 2020 but couldn’t bear to talk about it until now… but they deserve to be acknowledged for their wonderful work.
My grandpa just passed and we worked with Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes, and though this is yet again a trying time in my life, they made everything a little more bearable.
I worked with Jay when my husband passed and was absolutely blown away by his care, professionalism, patience and compassion from beginning to end. I can’t believe how helpful he was.
This time we worked with Karisa and once again

It is very sad and unfortunate to need the services Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes has provided in Oshkosh for many decades. However, when you do need them, their compassion, concern, patience, understanding, and professionalism are surpassed by no others. I have been assisted by Jay Schultz in the planning of several bereavements, and he far exceeds in all of the aforementioned qualities to ensure you receive the services that are best for you and your loved one. Can’t thank Jay and Konrad-Behlman enough for helping to get through the saddest of times.

Konrad-Behlman funeral home is highly recommend by myself and my entire family. Jay and his entire staff, are compassionate, kind, understanding, helpful, and will do everything possible to make a tough situation easier for you and your family. When my mom passed away at the young age of 53, almost a year ago, I was lost. They did everything possible to make the process easier for all of us. Willing to do as much as possible, to make sure my mom was honored just as we wanted. She wasn’t religious. Didn’t belong to a church. They knew exactly who would be perfect to represent mom and her life
