Services
I have over 20 years of early childhood education experience and have held a variety of teaching positions including Assistant Teacher, Lead Teacher and Director. I enjoy working with young children and helping them reach their developmental milestones. When I am not working, I like to be outdoors with our two weimaraners, walking, playing at the park with my kids, and scrapbooking.
Red Rover is committed to continuously improving the teaching skills of our staff. All staff has either achieved or are in process of obtaining their Child Development Associate credential (CDA) for continual growth in child care development. All of our staff members are educated in Creative Curriculum, and Handwriting Without Tears.
Red Rover utilizes The Creative Curriculum, an educational program built on the philosophy that young children learn by doing. Used at all age levels, The Creative Curriculum enhances on the idea that all children learn through active exploration of their environment. The goal of The Creative Curriculum is to help children become independent, self-confident, inquisitive and enthusiastic learners by actively exploring their environment.
Our cozy infant room is designed to provide quality care and has ample space and material for your little one to learn and explore the work around them. There will be no set schedule for this room because studies have shown that infants feel more secure and develop better in an environment with routines balanced with individual needs.
At this stage children are practicing what they have experienced and learned. The daily schedule in this room includes both active and quiet times as well as art, music, math, language arts and free play. Young toddlers have many needs as they continue to grow and learn.
They develop their communication skills through describing what they are doing moment to moment, and they continue to gain new experiences by practicing what adults around them do, talk on the phone, clean house, grocery shop, etc.The Teachers continue to build trust and confidence in each child as they accomplish new developmental goals.
