Cape Coral Emergency Physicians

Since 1985, the Cape Coral Emergency Physicians, a dedicated group of Board Certified Emergency Physicians have been accepting the challenge of delivering high quality emergency services to the residents of Cape Coral and the surrounding communities. In 1985 Cape Coral Hospital had a 5 bed emergency department and Cape Coral had a population of less than 60,000 residents.

Today Cape Coral has a population of over 180,000 and has one of the busiest Emergency Room in Lee County treating over 80,000 patients a year. Rededicated in 2005 as the Weigner Taeni Center for Emergency Services, the emergency room has expanded with a new 15 room Fast Track area. This fast track unit provides treatment for minor care issues including lacerations, fractures and other non-life threatening injuries.
