Pilates provides a foundation of movement variability. This helps build strength, increases mobility, decreases the risk of injury, and increases athletic performance. The Pilates practice is also complementary to rehabilitation and suitable for those who struggle with repeated injury or recurring pain.

As a long-time business traveler with a bad back and an interest in physical fitness, I have been to literally thousands of pilates classes around the U.S.
In my opinion, Jen Mullen, Adaptable Pilates Owner and Lead Instructor, is one of the best teachers available today. A licensed physical therapist and master instructor, she is a motion guru that improves my posture and overall state of mind during every class.
If you are fortunate enough to snag a spot in one of her coveted classes, grab it! You’ll be so happy you did.

Pilates has changed the way I look at exercise. I have tried many forms of exercise in the past but always have not been able to sustain it for the long haul. But then I found Pilates and the love affair began. No longer do I have to force myself to attend class—I actually look forward to it! The cherry on top is this wonderful studio and Jen. The studio is clean, the reformers are well maintained and look like new, classes are small, exercise is personalized, and attendees are of all ages. I felt a part of the group from the very first day. If you are looking for exercise that is fun, works

What a great experience and bargain to have the oversight of a physical therapist teaching your Pilates class! All of this is done with an aura of sincere interest in each participant. Thank you, Jennifer Mullen! You have made transitioning from Open Studio Pilates to Adaptable Pilates much easier than anticipated.

I have worked with Jennifer and both her Pilates classes and her physical therapy. She has only ever been kind, compassionate, and concerned. She is quick to modify all exercises to your current needs at the moment. I’ve been working with her for three or four months and I feel great. Better than I felt for ages.

Jen with Adaptable Pilates and Physical Therapy has me hooked on Pilates! With her physical therapy background, Jen has helped me comeback from an injury and get even stronger. In every class I find new muscles I never knew I had and push myself to be stronger. The best part of Jen's classes is how friendly the atmosphere is, it's easy to be motivated and have fun with the others around! Jen is so knowledgeable that I always learn something new and find a new way to challenge myself.

Adaptable Pilates is the best studio Columbia. Jen is a great instructor. She is also a physical therapist and I find that her physical therapy knowledge sets her apart from other Pilates instructors. I have been doing Pilates for years having moved to Columbia from the West Coast and Jen has been able to make minor adjustments to my form that have made a HUGE difference. I always feel great after every workout and she is able to accommodate every skill level.
The classes are always different and everyone is so welcoming. Bonus: The studio is very clean and the reformers are like new.
I would
