CS Tree Services was founded in 2003 by long-time friends, Chris Baley and Steve Kurtz. We are a full-service, fully-insured tree company providing residential and commercial services in the Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill areas. Chris enjoys playing with heavy equipment, welding all our equipment back together, being The Boss, and getting the job done. He has pushed to make advancements to grow the company over the years, and is never afraid of a challenge. In his creative time he paints and sculpts, including awesome wood chainsaw sculptures!

Steven came out and educated me about my trees. A couple needed pruning over the house. Had one dead tree. His crew came out with their grapple crane and removed the dead tree. It was extremely entertaining to watch! Super polite nice guys. Professional to work with. Will use again! Thank you!

I think you can tell the quality of a business by what they do when by dint of circumstance they absolutely have you over a barrel. One evening an ash spontaneously gave way and came to rest heavily on the roof of our house. After spending all night trimming what limbs I could near the house to reduce the load and try to reduce potential damage to the windows, the first thing I did was call CS Tree, who have serviced my property before.
Steven let me know that by a stroke of luck they happened to have a crane crew ready to head out that very minute, but they wouldn't be able to give me quote

CS Tree Services recently removed 2 large trees and ground the stumps. We were very pleased with the original job. When we needed them to come back and grind the stumps even more than is typically done (below grade for a hardscaping project), they responded quickly and went out of their way to help us on short notice. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend their services.

Had a great experience using CS Tree Services for the removal of 2 stumps. They were very quick with their response, were able to come out and give us a quote the next day, and the following day the stumps were removed. They were very professional and did a great job. Would use again!

Could not recommend CS Tree Services more! I have used them at investment properties and my own home. Pricing is head and shoulders above the rest, they are extremely efficient and professional, and have even adjusted quotes on the spot to accommodate more work that was unforeseen but needed. Will never use another tree service after my experiences with them! They have been a 5 star service every time

We couldn't be more pleased with the work CS Tree Service did for us. They use a remote robotic grapple saw which is a marvel to watch in operation. They removed two large trees from our property, one right next to the house, and another deep in the backyard but that they easily reached with the boom arm from the base of our driveway. Steve and Chris and their entire crew are consummate professionals. Obviously know what they're doing and had the trees out and stumps ground in about 3 hours. Highly recommend!

We LOVE these guys. They removed an enormous dead oak tree from our backyard so fast it made my head spin. It was amazing to watch. They used a grapple crane and as fast as Chris could get a limb down it disappeared into the mother of all chippers. They were fast, efficient and safe. They left the yard cleaner than they found it. The best part of all is they were by FAR the cheapest of five estimates. We will definitely use these guys again and you should too.

I used CS Tree Service to remove a Bradford Pear tree that had lost a major limb in the front yard of my rental property. They were quick to come up and give me a quote and even suggested trimming other trees in the backyard away from the house to prevent possible future damage. They broke down the quote so I could pick and choose the exact work I wanted done. I got quotes from two other services and their prices were in the same ballpark.

They did a great job and are working with us to save an Ash tree that was damaged when our neighbors built. I would highly recommend. I only wish that they would call before coming out to do the work. Would be so helpful as had to maneuver trucks and cars when suddenly they were at our home. They do know their trees though. Thanks
