Thomas West is proud to have practiced law for more than 30 years, first with his law partner, Reggie Kelly, and then with his daughter Elizabeth West Murphy. Thomas's passion and life's work have been to have a law practice he is proud of. In 2020 he retired from the practice he built and now serves "of counsel" to the firm.
Elizabeth Murphy practiced alongside her father and founding partner, J. Thomas West, for nearly fifteen years before his retirement in 2020. From a very young age, she watched her father help others through the practice of law and always knew that was what she wanted to do.
Now she works with co-founder Reggie Kelly, and with the advice of Thomas West in his role as "of counsel" to the firm, to help Kelly & West's clients navigate difficult times in their lives.She loves to listen to people and their stories. I had quite the pickle. I looked around the area for a good attorney. Since I just moved here it was mainly word of mouth and reviews that aimed me at Kelly & West. I'm so glad that they did!! Mr. Reginald "Reggie" Kelly saw me the very next day for a free consultation. He took his time with me to get every bit of background, who I am as a person and what had happened. We had to push my court dates to the right to create a good case. I was worried since I didn't know the outcome yet and felt like I was in limbo. My parents, me, and now my daughter go to Kelly & West for our real estate transactions. Mr. Kelly helped us recently in the selling of our home and the process was very efficient and quick. Just went through a real estate closing with Reggie Kelly. Smooth process all the way. What I liked especially was how little involvement was required on the part of my wife and myself. I called to ask them to represent us and only needed a single phone call and a one page document to complete to provide information they needed. A closing date was set and we showed up on that day, spent about an hour and was done. Having been through several closings and familiar with the process, Reggie was good as they get. I was referred to Elizabeth Murphy by a good friend. I had a lot of work that needed doing with a will, trust and a host of other papers I didn't even know that I needed. In my interview, I felt like Elizabeth had all the time in the world for me. She listened intently and and asked questions about what " I wanted". The team at Kelly & West were amazing! I was purchasing a home, with NO realtors involved. Before even meeting them, Shelia and April provided me with forms to use for making an offer on the home, and more. They answered several questions for me, promptly, again, before even meeting with me. Before we got to the point to request a Title search.
