Through a guided relaxation exercise, you become very relaxed and yet, still alert. It is in this state that the "chatterbox" conscious mind slips into the background (only 20% alert) and the subconscious mind comes to the foreground (about 80% alert) and is highly open to receiving suggestions. Thus, real change or shift happens.
The subconscious mind is a repository of all your accumulated life experiences and beliefs. Habits are a "learned" response. The subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between what is real or imagined. It is on this premise that hypnotherapy works. It is my belief that we all have the right to heal and reclaim our own power and place of belonging.

Our dreams combine verbal, visual and emotional stimuli into a sometimes broken, nonsensical but often entertaining story line. We can sometimes even solve problems in our sleep. Or can we? The phenomenon of past life regression, has been one of considerable controversy ever since its inception. I am not here to make arguments for, or against any beliefs on this matter, but instead I prefer to remain open to the possibility and the wonderfully easy way that everyone can experiment for themselves using hypnosis.
Some of the most serious and pervasive problems in our society today are directly and indirectly related to substance abuse. Excessive us of alcohol and other drugs, cigarette smoking, and overeating are all examples of substance abuse. Instead of dealing with the uncomfortable feelings directly and effectively, the person employs what is known as an "avoidant coping style."
People are often skeptical about hypnosis and its ability to aid in smoking cessation. Because of my many years of experience helping people stop smoking, I understand the skepticism. The purpose of this article is to help people understand the benefits of hypnosis as a smoking cessation aid. First and most important is to understand that smoking is an addiction.
It is my belief that we all have the right to heal and reclaim our own power and place of belonging. My goal is to work with you to release the pains of old wounds and fears and to help you access and empower your own "Inner Healer". Indigenous peoples of the world are aware that traumatic life experiences can result in the fragmentation of our inner, vital essence or soul.
