Nevada County Airporter offers On-Demand transportation that provides door-to-door service from your home or office to the Sacramento International, San Francisco-Oakland or Tahoe-Reno International airports, Amtrak Train Stations or any special destination. Nevada County poses special problems for air or train travel.

Those traveling have to plan a trip to the airport or Amtrak station as an extra trip to their traveling agenda. This usually includes planning on long term parking at the airport or asking friends or relatives for a ride. Other transportation such as out of area shuttles, taxi's and limousine services can be expensive.

Going through customs at this airport has been one of the best experiences I've had in the US. It's not that big, so you don't get lost (like LAX) that easily. It also means that there will be less queues and if there are, the waiting time will be shorter anyway. I've used it two times, both for the same route. The only thing that it's missing (and i believe this is due to its size) is a bit more stores at least on terminal B.

Easy to get around. Love that all rental cars go out on the same bus. All food is at the center. Be sure to check out the choices at The Well, nice fresh salads and sandwiches, as well as tasty local sweets. Also a good spot to grab a gift.

Fly out of this airport constantly & there’s some pros and some cons.
Pros- usually not crowded so that’s always a plus. Lines aren’t usually long and tsa goes smoothly.
Cons- the food/restaurants are nothing special. Service sucks & food is subpar that comes out messy, cold, wrong, and of course- overpriced.

Sacramento (SMF) Airport is a really nice airport. The check-in and security processes were seamless. It is a smaller airport, but capacity of a larger scale airport. There is ample seating throughout the airport for travelers, and there are plenty of outlets throughout for tech devices. The escape lounge was comfortable and inviting. The only downside is there is no restroom in the lounge. However, a restroom is conveniently located a short distance from the entrance. The airport is easy to navigate, and there are several restaurants to choose from. I would recommend this airport for your traveling

Very nice airport, as soon as you land you walk thru the waiting to board area and you’ll find some restaurants. You find the exit doors to your right that puts you out to the electric stairs where you go down to the first floor

Love SAC! Quick airport to fly to and from! Easy to rent a car. Easy to pick up. Easy to drop off. Way faster and nicer than Bay Area airports

This was a very nice airport. They have some art and the have great big bay like windows to watch planes taxi in. They had a few shops and places to eat. Nicely laid out.

Super quick check in time! No need to get to this airport two hours ahead of schedule. It often only takes 20 minutes to get through TSA. Depending on what parking lot you’re in it’s not that far of a walk. There’s also lots of food selections once you get to the terminal.

We have used Robert many times now and he is everything you want for airport transportation. He is always on time or more likely, early. Clean, comfortable SUV. Very safe driver. Much better than a taxi or Uber. He takes the stress out of going to the airport.

Highly recommend Robert. I've gone on multiple airport trips with him. He's a great, safe driver and will point out random facts on the drive about the area even us locals sometimes don't know. Only complaint is sometimes he is booked far in advance!
