Julie and Jaime are the sole owner, employee duo that take over the world one cake, and laugh at a time. We document our days on Instagram stories. We really enjoy traveling, adventure and eating great food. We have two dogs, Wrinkles and Bentley and recently our baby girl Coco Juliet who is the joy of our lives.
She only works 1 day a week- isn't that the dream? Most of her work days are spent taking a naps in the pantry. We met cooking as line cooks side by side at Carnivale in Chicago. Julie was attending the Illinois Institute of Art in the culinary program but her childhood love of pastries led her to return to school.

Book our Cotton Candy Cart for your wedding, party, fundraiser or corperate event for 1, 2 or 3 hours. For weddings we typically spin late night when all of your guests are out on the dance floor, however we can customize your time slot to your timeline. Our hand spun cotton candy is the perfect way to end your magical night.
Contact Us for a quick estimate on a design you love or ask us how we can help you stay in your budget! A Buttercream finish cake can include many varieties of texture such as lines, stucco or semi naked. Flowers added provided by your florist add a beautiful finish. A more simple, fondant covered cake may include painting, covered in sprinkles, color and texture.
We book up popular wedding dates very quickly so the sooner you would like to secure your date with us the better! Commonly we book 6-9 months out, however we have clients book even 18 months in advance. Please don't hesitate to reach out to see if we have availability for your date! All we need is one week notice to be able to create a cake.

We met with Julie Michelle several months prior to our wedding to choose our cake flavors and to discuss the design. Not only is her space super cute, but the variety of cake and frosting options were amazing! Julie is incredibly sweet, easy to work with and made the process very seamless for us. She took the time necessary to break down our options and educate us on the amount of cake necessary for our guest count. Julie is the total package - beyond friendly, personable, professional and easy to work with, and has the most beautiful cake designs imaginable. We used Julie for our wedding cake, family birthday cakes, and mothers day cakes - and each time we would receive countless compliments on how stunning they looked and how wonderful they taste! Absolutely love Julie Michelle Cakes! The entire planning process was a dream. They were the first cake tasting my husband and I went to and we never looked back! Julie had different types of cakes and a large assortment of frosting and filling flavors for us to try, all very delicious! When we had to reschedule our wedding, Julie was so sweet and worked around our new date. We ordered our wedding cake and a groom's cake. Both were perfect and tasted unbelievable! I would highly recommend Julie Michelle Cakes! We went in for a tasting and completely fell in love!! My now husband is not huge with sweets, so it was hard to convince him or get him excited about cake. When we went in for the tasting, we were both blown away! We got to choose any combination of cake and frosting that we wanted, which was amazing. She had the standard cake flavors, but she also had available more frosting flavors than you could think of! (YUMMM) We had each tier a different flavor and cake combination which our guests loved! The cake tasted AMAZING and everyone at the wedding

I can not say enough good things about Julie Michelle Cakes & the experience we had with them for our wedding. We were married at The Abbey in Lake Geneva in October & planned it all through Covid-times. Julie was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process, from the "dream" to the tasting ((second best day ever)) to the end results on our wedding day. We did a vanilla cake with sprinkles & boysenberry buttercream - honestly do die for. Our guests raved about how good it was!! We could not recommend Julie Michelle Cakes enough if we tried. Julie did the cupcakes and cake for our wedding earlier this month, and we still have guests calling about where the cupcakes were from. We used Julie Michelle Cakes for our May 2018 wedding and people are still talking about how delicious our wedding cake was! She came highly recommended by several people and let me tell you, she did not disappoint! She creates the most beautiful cakes and they taste absolutely amazing. Cake tasting was by far my favorite planning activity. Due to our crazy schedules we weren't able to actually go and do the tasting, but she made us a tasting box full of all our choices and we got to try them all at home. I would 100% recommend Julie Michelle Cakes for any and all of your cake needs!
