Founded in 2016, Pure Audiology is locally owned and operated by Dr. Christina Bradford, Au. D. Dr. Bradford believes in living life simply. Her vision for Pure Audiology is to offer the residents of Vermont access to quality audiological services in a convenient and comfortable environment. Unbundled pricing means you get more technology for your money, less up-front costs, and only paying for what you need.
Cerumen, or earwax, can be removed from the ear canal so that it does not interfere with listening or comfort, especially for individuals who wear hearing aids. Since the various systems produce different hearing impressions, it is important for you to make a comparison yourself. For this purpose we will produce custom-made earmolds based on the exact contours of your ears.
If you have been referred for a diagnostic audiologic evaluation, it means that your hearing needs to be further examined. A diagnostic audiologic evaluation may be indicated for individuals who did not pass an initial hearing screening. The evaluation is done to determine if a hearing loss is present and, if so, to detail the type and severity of the hearing loss.
Cerumen, also known as earwax, is naturally produced by the glands in the ears to lubricate the ear canals and keep dust and debris from getting too far down in the ear canal. Cerumen typically clears itself from the ears, but in some instances can accumulate and cause a blockage, especially if you wear earmolds or hearing aids.
Sudden or prolonged exposure to noise can cause damage to your hearing and is one of the leading causes of hearing loss. Hearing loss from prolonged noise exposure is often detected too late, meaning the hearing loss is usually irreversible. Hearing protection is extremely important for anyone who is regularly in a high-noise environment, including target shooters, motorcyclists, pilots, musicians, construction workers and factory workers.

Great visit! Doctor was caring, personable, and made me feel extremely comfortable when I was feeling ear stress from tinnitus. I am really pleased with the level of experience and attention to detail she gave to me. Its always good to have an inital visit to establish a baseline so she can help me as I age into my fifties. I dont want to miss a moment!

Dr. Bradford did an exam and reviewed the results as I was concerned about my tinnitus. She suggested ideas to combat the noise based on reducing stress as she cited there was a lot of research studies done that stress adds to the noise level. I really appreciated the feedback to try vs med’s or other possible treatments since tinnitus is difficult to treat. I felt she was very professional and positive in ways to address my issue.

I had a hearing exam with Dr. Christina Bradford, and as many have already stated in the reviews, she is an exceptional doctor. Her office is comfortable: simple decorations, very clean, music playing softly. The exam was thorough yet seamless. Her professionalism made it clear that she is a very experienced audiologist.

Dr. Bradford was exceptional. I spoke to other companies prior to my appointment about hearing aids. Everyone I spoke to tried to sell me a hearing aid. At Pure Audiology, the focus was on my hearing loss situation and how best to move forward. Dr. Bradford recommend a different treatment even though she could have sold me a hearing aid instead. I appreciate the honesty and the concern for what is best for me as a patient.

Christina called and followed up to be sure that I got the ENT referral I needed. She really advocated for me when my primary didn’t respond to my sudden hearing loss. I can’t say enough about what a caring professional she is. I’m trying to educate everyone I know about the urgency of treatment when someone experiences a sudden loss and urging them to get a baseline at Pure f they are at all concerned about their hearing.

One of the services they list on their website is pediatric audiologic evaluations. They are also listed with the State of Vermont Dept of Health as a pediatric provider. I called today to set up an appointment and was told they don't have the equipment at this time to perform those evaluations. They referred me to Better Audiology in South Burlington. Was not impressed and disappointed they don't update their website to reflect this lack of this service.

Dr. Bradford was selected for me by Zip Hearing. I cannot speak about her competitors, but she sets a high bar. She is a great listener. She listens and uses what one says to provide care and equipment that addresses one's needs - no pro forma response here. She is great with silences.
