Ballet Gloria was founded by Susan Essick McCollum in 1996, and became a 501-c-3 organization in 2000. It was Ms. McCollum's vision to provide the Knoxville community with a company that uses dance to restore the arts to God. Ballet Gloria provides an environment that encourages young performers as well as giving seasoned performers an artistic outlet to restore the arts to God.
Now under the direction of Gwendolyn Johnson Delaney, the company continues to thrive as it uses it's unique form of story telling to provide artistic excellence and spread hope and encouragement throughout the southeast and beyond. Ballet Gloria is based at the Tennessee Conservatory of Fine Arts, where company classes and rehearsals are held.
