I don't know what Paradise would actually be like, but this place is the closest thing that I might imagine it to be. Beautiful beyond words, and peacefulness among the tropical gardens lovingly tended by Terry and Michael, the owners. Fresh eggs every morning from the chickens, and if you're lucky, fresh vegetables from their garden.
An amazing respite from the stresses of the mainland. Stay here if you can.

Entabeni Gardens was one of the highlights of my day driving along Hana Highway. I started on Hana very early in the morning to beat the crowds. I didn't see a lot of worthwhile attractions on my first hour of driving, and most of the restaurants and cafes were still closed. You won't find Entabeni Gardens on any of the blogs that recommend what to see on the Road to Hana, but it was one of the few places open at 7:00 AM, and I am so glad that I decided to make a stop.
After several minutes of driving through lush tropical plants, I entered the parking lot and was met by Terry and her

We arrived late afternoon after a very scenic and spectacular ride on the road to Hana in our jeep (a must)! As we drove up the driveway the anticipation was killing us since we were so happy to be there finally (we booked almost 8 months in advance and several emails (thank you for being so patient and yes she wrote back to them all) to Terry, the owner). Michael, Terry's husband/owner greeted us in the driveway and took us into the cottage to give us information and a walkthrough. As we walked in it took our breath away! The landscape, view of the ocean, open air breeze (all the windows

We stayed a couple nights last week and absolutely adored the place. If you want seclusion, lush tropical greenery, being off the beaten path and largely disconnected; this is an exceptional place. Terry and Michael are very warm and interesting hosts. The cottage's kitchen, bed, bathroom, etc; are very comfortable and well appointed. Its a place to read, meditate, listen to music or the sound of the rain, cook, watch movies, walk among the plants and animals, and rejuvenate. They will be getting booked up, so if you are thinking about staying get your reservation request in.

Just read Kathleen H's review and can't imagine why she didn't give this place the FIVE STARS it deserves!
This little hideaway is a marvelous slice of heaven! The only things I would add to the one previous review is that there is now a rather large DVD collection. Also, visitors to the Hana side of the island should know that it can be rainy in Hana - this is part of Hana's allure (how do you think it stays so green?) as long as you're in the right frame of mind for it. It is peaceful, quiet, and lovely here.
I would recommend that visitors to Maui spend a week

This marvelous, secluded cottage just off Hwy 360 Road to Hana, facing the ocean of East Maui is warm and charmingly appointed with nearly everything you could need to rest, relax, and take in the tropical beauty of Maui. It is just off the road to Hana (about 7 miles north of town) and a great way to enjoy Hana and nearby Ohe'o gulch area (16 miles past cottage) of Haleaka National Park (MM 42). The cottage has an adequate kitchen with refrigerator, stove, dishes & utensils, pans, coffee press, mixer and blender, juicer, etc. It also has a small natural gas grill on the porch, but we
